- WOWill O.Nov 18, 20255.0Had to do an almost entire aquarium reset except for a 50 percent water change. New to betta care and didn't know not to use plastic plants and fake substrate. Came here and James did an excellent job helping me with the reworking. Got set up with Bio prewashed substrate, live plants and fertilizer. He did an excellent job with walking me through how to plant the tank and take care of the plants. When I got home and did the reworking and put my Betta Alfred back in, Alfred started checking everything out very meticulously and then swam over to me and looked at me as if to say thank you and swam off. PH is now reading at a proper 7.0 instead of the dangerously acidic 6.0 and is at a nice balmy 79.1°F right in between the proper 78.0 and 80.0°F temperature range a betta needs. It is also the first time I haven't seen Alfred freak out with having the lights on. He has more room to swim yet good hiding spots and isn't pacing and flaring constantly. A bad case of eventual fin rot/fin nipping has been completely avoided! If you have fish questions, I seriously recommend seeing James at this location! He helped me avoid a complete disaster. We were looking for a surgical suits for my dog to wear and this young man was extremely helpful and knew what he was talking about. He really helped me with the sizing because I have a big dog. He even called somewhere else to see if they had the size I needed.
