Although I never want to shop in Petco again, I ran into this Petco on Perimeter Drive because I needed to pick up some Stella and Chewy product quickly for a finicky eater. I found multiple bags of product that were past the Best Buy date by as many as six months. I showed them to the store manager and his response was that he assumes that their distribution center checks the best by date before sending it to the store, so the store does not check the best buy dates. I left without purchasing anything. Between the live mods in the bag of dog food in the other Midlothian Petco, and the expired product in this Midlothian Petco, I have no intention of shopping at Petco again. There are plenty of other brick and mortar competitors as well as online pet food options. I previously had been a Petco Customer for years and years, but I have noticed a market decline in quality control and customer service. I am not going to risk feeding food from Petco.
