If i could give less than 1 star i would... Brought my dog in today, for blood in her stool. Got in the room and my dog had diarrhea-ed in the floor, which then she started to drip blood. I told the dr assistant I would clean it after she got her sample. They had not gloves anywhere in the room so I just used extra paper towels. While im trying to clean it up, my dog is dripping blood in the floor (mind you i cant really hold her leash while getting her poop off the floor, then trying to wipe her droplets off the floor as shes dripping (hot mess express over here)) so dr lyons-bailey walks in gasps at the sight, complains about the smell and stands off to the side as im trying to clean these droplets.. the dr assistant (who was great other than not using gloves or having any readily available ( also didnt catch her name)) was wiping it up. dr lyons-bailey then put her hands up shaking them saying oh god I might step in it and walked out of the room and stood there watching. I didnt realize drs were too good to help do any cleaning and should be more professional when said actions happen. I found it rude and quite disturbing how she was reacting to everything in general. Anyways the results came back from my pup (mind you they ONLY did a fecal sample) comes back and says cheerfully well everything looks normal. i then ask how is blood coming out of her like this normal, apparently its "normal " when dogs have diarrhea. Got sent with antibiotics and was told if its still going on tmw.. to bring her back for xrays... I will NEVER bring any animal back to this facility ever again. I also went to the trusty old Google and in no way shape or form is bleeding "normal". Also side note she has had diarrhea plenty of times before and not a single time has she EVER BLED FROM BUTT...

Hopewell Animal Hospital Absolutely horrible experience. Unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking any compassion or bedside manner. We brought our dog in for severe facial swelling. Without properly examining him, the veterinarian immediately criticized his weight — which was completely irrelevant and incorrect. A male German Shepherd weighs 65–90 lbs; our dog weighs 70 lbs, well within a healthy range. She then declared it was a tumor without checking his mouth, ears, or the swollen area at all. No exam. No diagnostics. Just a reckless statement. When my boyfriend asked a reasonable question out of concern for our dog, she became offended and said he should leave the room, saying she would only speak to me. That behavior was inappropriate, hostile, and unacceptable. We left and went to an emergency vet who actually cared, properly examined our dog, and treated a serious infection by draining it — proving how wrong the initial assessment was. This was the worst veterinary experience we’ve ever had. If you expect basic professionalism, empathy, or competent care, do not go here. Do not recommend.

One of the worst experience I’ve ever head. My dog had an ear infection. Firstly the doctor was disgusted by the smell of his ear then she couldn’t handle him at all. We got send back with 10 calming pills for the dog to see the vet the next day. My dog is crazy during appointments but he stays friendly and doesn’t bite at all. I’ve seen a lot of vets and everyone was able to handle him.

If your dog barks they get nervous they will try and put them to sleep before they even provide care. I have a large dog that I put a muzzle on and the lady stood in the doorway and wouldn't even touch him. While I was waiting prior to my dog they told a lady who's dog only weighs 9.5 pounds the same thing. This place has seriously gone down hill.

Hopewell Animal Hospital was great with my fur baby Oakley. My Oakley had surgery and she is doing great. From the staff to Dr. James. I am very pleased.
