  I love this place and the staff is both knowledgeable and kind. I took my puppy for a grooming appointment and she looks so cute 🥰. I wanted her coat to be cut short and they did exactly what I wanted. This is her second time there and I can say that I will always return. Thank you all.

  I give the Harrisonburg Petco ZERO stars. I had a knee replacement so I had my son transport my dog to her appointment since I can’t drive at the moment. Well I filled out all the paperwork online and had my estimated total. When my son picked her up they charged me $20 more than what I had ordered. Supposedly they gave her the vip treatment which I did not want so instead of the groomer calling me to confirm they asked my son who has no idea what she needed or what I wanted. I told the managers that my son was just the transporter they should have called me, the manager said if my son could drive her in there he could make decisions regarding her. Point is ITS NOT HIS DOG.. it’s mine.. I feel as tho something could have been done and my son and myself were taken advantage of. I told them online that she has bad anxiety and she doesn’t like the dryers or to be kenneled. When my son picked her up they charged me $62 for a bath. The groomer told him not to ever bring her back there because she didn’t feel safe grooming her. Ok WHY did she groom her to start with when my son was outside waiting on her. So $62 later she gets home and doesn’t appear to have anything done to her at all. When I take her to the Ashland Va Petco they are willing to work with her and she comes out smelling fantastic. She came out smelling worse than when she went in.. she got no bandanna and I found a flea on her. This location will not ever get my business again not even for a treat or toys!! The managers were not trying to resolve the matter at all. They were of course all for the company. Fed up customer.

  Absolutely horrible experience with Brooke at Petco grooming in Harrisonburg, VA. She is extremely hostile, rude, disrespectful, and just plain nasty. All the other negative reviews about her are completely true – it’s honestly sad that Petco would keep someone like this working with people’s beloved pets. Our appointment was around 8 AM. My dog only had a tiny mat on his rear, and instead of taking the time to brush it out or carefully trim the area like any decent groomer would, she immediately insisted on shaving his entire coat down against our wishes. This breed should never be shaved – only trimmed to maintain healthy coat protection. It felt like she just didn’t want to do her job properly and was looking for the easy way out at the expense of my dog’s well-being. What really broke my heart was when we sent our other dog to her before, he looked absolutely terrified when we picked him up, unlike how he’s ever acted with other groomers. I will never let Brooke touch my dogs again. She has no business working with animals if she can’t treat them with basic care, respect, and professionalism. Petco should seriously reconsider who they allow to care for customers’ pets.

  Very Rude! Hung up on me when I could not understand what was said about booking two dogs, person got belligerent and said OK i'll cancel appointment i already had and hung up on me then wouldn't answer phone.
