I am typically not one to leave reviews when dissatisfied; I simply choose never to return. However, this clinic is so utterly disorganized that I felt compelled to share my experience.
I scheduled an appointment for 3:00 PM on a Saturday specifically for the convenience of their weekend hours. I arrived early, around 2:45 PM, only to find a confusing layout where the reception desk faced away from the entrance. While waiting in line, I noticed staff members asking everyone if they were there for "total care" or a "vaccination clinic" and then proceeded to check in and escort everyone but me to the treatment area. This made me wonder why I had bothered scheduling a specific time at all, as it seemed patients were being seen based on "vibes" rather than appointment slots.
The check-in process was equally frustrating. I spent a significant amount of time behind a customer without a pet who seemed to be disputing a dog food issue. By the time she finally left, I was understandably terse; it is incredibly aggravating to arrive on time for an appointment only to watch everyone behind you get ushered ahead. When I pointed this out, the receptionist insisted she hadn't let anyone skip me before finally checking me in. I looked at my watch to find it was already 3:45 PM—it became clear I had inadvertently signed up for an all-day event.
Eventually, a tech came out to discuss my pet's needs and took my dog to the back. A few moments later, he returned her to me, claiming they couldn't get a muzzle on her. He handed me the muzzle, mumbled something about a "room," and vanished again. Left with no direction, I muzzled my own dog and waited another 15 minutes or longer. When the tech finally reappeared to say a room was available, he seemed genuinely surprised that I had successfully muzzled my own pet.
The actual appointment lasted perhaps five minutes. Once I was retrieved from the waiting room and shown to an exam room, I noticed my dog’s ear was bleeding—something that certainly wasn't happening before we arrived. When the doctor entered, I pointed this out. She brushed it off as "just a little bit of blood," and despite me rephrasing the question several times to find out how it happened, I was brushed off. The doctor seemed focused solely on getting me out the door, which is unfortunately consistent with the "assembly line" feel of corporate healthcare. Her only suggestion was that my dog take anxiety medication before the next visit, leading me to believe they were simply too rushed to handle her properly and would rather risk a minor injury than take their time.
I will not be returning. I hope anyone reading this avoids this location (Petco on Coliseum Crossing) in favor of a vet clinic that actually takes the time to know your animal and treat them with the care they deserve.

I had a scare with my dogs paw during a long weekend. I had never been to a vetco but i called and scheduled an appointment. Jordan had talked me through all the details and then was the one that helped me when I came in. He was absolutely amazing. They didn’t charge my any more then they needed to and the work was less then expected so it was even cheaper. I walked away with a happier pup and I felt so much better. I will definitely be going back for more services!
