I’ve taken my dog here several times over the years and have had problems with banfield in the past, most i’ve forgiven because I don’t have the time to write a proper review but this one really bothered me. Yesterday when i picked my dog up from his shots the lady that brought him out was yanking on the leash they put him on because he was excited to see us. She was yanking hard enough for him to gag and cough. I’m frustrated with this because the leashes they put on the dogs are basically choke collars, and this is suppose to be a pet hospital, also my dog JUST got over having kennel cough just be handed back from a pet HOSPITAL, with his cough returned because he was being yanked around by a vet tech. If they’re fine treating the dogs that way in front of the owners i can only imagine how they get treated behind closed doors.

Save yourself the trouble and go to any other vet. When we first moved to the area we were trying to find a trustworthy vet clinic. Everyone was great start to finish, but after a few visits this quickly changed and it has become the worst experiences. Focusing on today's visit, we brought my dog in to be spayed. She's on the wellness package and we went over the what to expect paperwork. I was told to expect to pay $17 for the e collar and roughly $50-$75 for take home meds. The tech verified the phone number, and I asked to call a different one as that particular number wouldn't be available during the day. After leaving, I realized that I forgot to ask for a microchip, so I called back. They let me know that was good to add, and said my total estimate would be $488. I was shocked because last we spoke it was $92 at most. She said "well, it's recommend preventative items but we can remove them from today if you would like". Since NOBODY called me beforehand and asked to do an additional $488 worth of items, I would absolutely like those removed. I did not get any phone calls until I called around 1:45pm where they said "your dog is ready for pickup, she has an infection, the spay went great and your total is $220". I proceeded to ask what infection and why $220 when again, nobody called for approval on finances. She said "she couldn't discuss anything with us and we had to come in to speak with the vet". I go into the clinic and ask for information about the "infection" and the bill. The person I spoke with said "the other number on file authorized the treatment plan". I said that's impossible since that number wasn't available to answer. She went back and forth saying that number definitely authorized the treatment plan. There's zero communication, zero care for the pets, you are a dollar sign and nothing more. I can't wait for my wellness plans to expire so I can go somewhere that cares about the wellbeing and necessary treatment of the fur kids.

I've enjoyed my experience here. They're always very friendly with my dog, and they are thorough, you could tell that they care and it doesn't feel like it's just an in and out situation. Their membership program is really good. It covers everything we have not had to pay out-of-pocket except for fixubg a hernia, which was something extra we had done during our dogs spay. I highly recommend getting their coverage program! Especially if youre getting a new pet!

I appreciate this particular location allows in person appointments and not just drop offs. I find it's better to be in the room with my boy and to be able to speak with the doctor and staff for a few minutes. It also allows us to wrap up the appointment in a timely manner and continue our day.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
