Just don’t go here. Miss Josie is the most incompetent person I’ve ever met. Her messy, disheveled appearance and lack of professionalism set the tone for the entire experience. If you call, be prepared to sit on hold for 30-plus minutes, only to finally walk in and see the staff drinking coffee and eating chia seeds at the counter like they have nothing else to do. Honestly, it’s a complete waste of time. They expect you to leave your dog for hours as a “drop-off,” instead of taking a few minutes to actually communicate with the owner about what’s going on. A pet can’t speak for themselves, so how is that supposed to work? It makes zero sense. On top of that, even if you schedule an appointment, they don’t honor it. The whole process feels disorganized, careless, and inconsiderate of both owners and their pets. If I could give this place zero or even negative stars, I absolutely would.

FRAUD ALERT.
If you see it say anywhere, that the first visit is free…… it is a Lie. The first visit is how they sign you up for a $900+ plan, $170-200 on the spot with reoccurring payments you “can’t cancel” without being charged “for the services used”. But $500 is charged up in things you never asked for in the very first “free” visit.
Nice people, but not so great/honest marketing or business practices.
Update 4 weeks later:
I reached out via email, as requested here.
The response was: so sorry, call the store.
I spoke with Banfield billing as well as the store manger. And she very rudely informed me, for the first time, when their vet insisted I select a “plan” to lower the up front cost of my 6lb dog’s necessary vaccines………apparently my agreement to a plan meant they would also add a bunch of unnecessary things to the bill too.
This experience has been absolutely awful, the ultimate bait and switch. Now my dog still has vaccines he needs weeks later, that I have to pay for out of pocket somewhere else because even for all I’ve already paid those still aren’t covered AND I still have to pay this wicked corporate company an additional $300 just to cancel the plan. (If I don’t, the total would be nearly $1000 over the next year).
And despite making it clear that they charged me for things I did not ask for, they refuse to alter the $500 charged up in one visit.
Zero customer service, just, pushing me to keep the plan.
To be clear, the care my dog actually needed could have been just $150-200 at a local vaccine clinic. Not $500+.
Christmas, while healing from major surgery, might be light for my family this year thanks to this FRAUDULENT company!
I am sharing so hopefully others can learn about their unacceptable practices, before it’s too late.

Last year my cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. We noticed he was getting worse with the medication they had prescribed and took him in for a follow up to see if the meds were actually helping at all and if we could consider switching his treatment plan to something else. All I got was a refill with no answers or alternative choices. Our beloved cat ended up living only a few more months with no help from banfield as we could not afford to take him in again just to get brushed off. Always feels like they don’t actually care about your pets and just want to bill you.

The vets are very kind but they are just too overbooked to provide proper service. You will wait 30-45 minutes and then they'll glance at your dog and prescribe you something that won't work. I don't think the vets can see notes from past visits. I took my dog in THREE TIMES for an infection and every time they just prescribed me the exact same wipes that hadn't been working for months. I once waited 45 minutes to pick up a single prescription that I had called to confirm just a couple hours prior. I had a virtual visit and the vet just never showed up -- no phone call, no nothing, and I waited 20 minutes on hold to figure out what happened. This was for a check-in while I was in the process of figuring out if it was time to euthanize my dog! Banfield's online reservation system is also terrible, and often makes appointments they can't actually honor -- which isn't their fault, but it's seriously annoying.

I made an in-room appointment days ago, and I mentioned that I need to stay with my cat during the examination and vaccination because of his anxiety, and I asked them in the note if it is against their policy, let me know so I would be able to make another arrangement. They called me later that day to change the time of my appointment, but they did not mention anything about the fact that I could not be with him in the room. They waited for 3-4 hours before the appointment to call me and let me know that I cannot be with my cat during an in-room appointment! Obviously, I canceled, but now I need to find another vet with the closest available time, which is not today, and my cat vaccination will not be on time! This is absolutely irresponsible of this so-called VET HOSPITAL!

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
