After trying several groomers across the DMV, I can confidently say Roberto at Haute Dog is by far the best I’ve ever come across. The cut was clean and beautifully shaped, the coat was soft and glossy, and everything looked polished without ever feeling overdone. My dog came back looking adorable, smelling fresh (not overly perfumed), and most importantly: happy! It’s rare to find someone who understands breed-specific needs and listens to what you want while still making the dog look their absolute best. Haute Dog has officially become my go-to, and I’ll be recommending Roberto to every dog parent I know.
- MMMichelle MichaelsFeb 23, 20265.0So many good things to say about this team: Roberto, professional groomer, and Chris, company owner… but let’s start with the quality of the grooming for my two pups… My Keeshond has a double coat which requires deshedding of undercoat plus cutting and shaping his outer coat. Roberto did an excellent job on both. My sisters MicroMiniGoldenDoodle was severely matted because she was too ill to brush his curly coat every day. I asked Roberto to shave him and leave a soft look on his head. He looked great after Roberto took care of him. As Roberto was leaving, the doodle wouldn’t stop reaching for him. The doodle really, really liked Roberto, and this is after just a few hours together! That’s a form of dog-whisperer magic you don’t often see. And having the two pup ‘brothers’ together with Roberto, in the cozy feeling van, with no cages, and with no other stressed-out dogs, was a very positive and unique experience for them. Leading up to the appointment we had very responsive communication with Chris. Excellent customer service. I give this team an A+++. Thanks so much! 〽️〽️

Do I need to be home during the grooming?
Once you drop off your dog to me at the van no you don’t have to be at home but can only be gone for allotted time to be there when done.
How long does a grooming session take?
Depends on what service you buy and size of dog. Could be 40 minutes for small dog wash and dry only or 2 hours for x large full groom, cut and style
What do you need from me on grooming day?
We need a card number on file by grooming day, rabies vaccine proof by grooming day.
Do you groom aggressive or anxious dogs?
We can groom anxious dogs, but not aggressive.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Every 4-6 weeks, depending on breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
Can I book recurring appointments?
Yes. We offer scheduled recurring appointments so you never have to remember to rebook.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes, as early as 12 weeks, provided they’ve had their first round of shots.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancelling with 24 hours notice is no penalty, cancelling day of or “no show” customer will be charged between half and full price
