  Friendly staff. They made me feel comfortable about leaving my pup with them. I love all the pictures of him that I could access through the portal. I picked him up about 30 mins ago and he’s knocked out.

  I enrolled my working dog at Playful Pack Fairfax Station expecting active, supervised daycare. Most of the staffs are friendly and supportive for admin part. But when it comes to the daycare, I hope more staffs get trained to read canine body language. Also, staff-to-dog ratio is concerned when a staff complained that she had to handle too many dogs on Monday. While staff consistently told me at pickup that my dog “had a good day,” I later observed via camera that he was confined to a crate for extended periods — including one instance of over 90 minutes at midday. When I asked about this, I was told the reason was that my dog barked at another dog and did not stop when verbally corrected. I understand dogs sometimes need breaks, but prolonged crating for barking — especially in an environment where many dogs are vocal — was not something I was informed of beforehand or comfortable with. I was also told that behavior guidance or redirection is not part of their service, as they provide daycare only. As an owner of a working breed, I expected more structured behavior management and clearer communication about confinement policies. This facility may work well for some dogs, but owners of high-energy or working breeds should ask very specific questions about rest periods, crating duration, and behavior management before enrolling.

  Very friendly and accommodating staff. I took advantage of the free evaluation and 2 free daycare appointments when I registered. The first day went very smoothly, the day care rooms are very clean and they kept my dog very busy and engaged. Having access to the live webcam is very convenient as well.

  Grateful to have Playful Pack in our neighborhood! A wonderful place for my pups to run out some of their energy, socialize with other pups, and have a mini vacation when we are out of town. The employees always send us the cutest pictures and share a daily report card. I love reading their updates. They also do a lot of work in the community like fostering dogs and share several resources. Dakota, Penny, Daisy, and Chai love coming here!
