That almost five-star rating gave us peace of mind and reassurance, especially since our dog is extremely attached to our family and has a hard time adjusting to new environments. From the initial phone call, the young lady we spoke with was very kind, helpful, and thorough in explaining everything. On drop-off day (January 29 – February 2), the staff was friendly, sweet, and welcoming. I explained in detail that Amy cannot eat chicken, is a very slow eater, and typically nibbles on her food and drinks water throughout the day. I provided all her food and treats. During our trip, I called to check on Amy and was told she was not eating. They asked if they could give her pumpkin, which I agreed to so she would have something in her stomach. Unfortunately, once we picked her up, we immediately noticed she was acting very distressed, anxious, jumpy, and extremely tired — completely unlike herself. When we got home, she had two accidents in the house with severe diarrhea. We waited 24 hours hoping she would settle back into her routine, but her symptoms continued. We ended up having to take her to the vet, where we learned she was severely dehydrated, requiring IV fluids and medication for vomiting and diarrhea. It took several days for her to fully recover. I called Alpha to inform them of the situation, and the young man I spoke with said he would pass the information to the owner so she could contact me. Unfortunately, I never received a call back, even after explaining that we had to take Amy to the vet. After doing further research, I found other reviews from pet owners who experienced very similar situations, which was extremely concerning. While the staff was kind and professional, our experience was not a positive one, and it was very stressful for our family and especially for our dog. Please do not rely solely on the high rating. I strongly encourage pet owners to thoroughly research and ask detailed questions before boarding their pets, to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Stay & Train and Play & Train are most beneficial when your dog is able to attend for multiple consecutive days. For this reason, we offer 5-, 10-, and 15-day packages, but you can add or subtract any number of days you like. Ultimately, the more time your pup has with our trainers, the better the results.
Is my dog too old to benefit from training?
No! The “can’t teach an old dog” concept is a myth. Dogs of any age can pick up new skills with the right combination of patience and consistency. While it’s much easier to establish skills and habits in puppies, dogs of any age are capable of being trained.
