I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Banfield location. My appointment was over 35 minutes behind before my dog was even seen, with no acknowledgment or apology. When I asked a simple question about why a particular test and treatment were being recommended for my dog’s eye, the veterinarian, Dr. Atif, responded in a dismissive and unprofessional manner, essentially telling me that if I didn’t like it, I could “go somewhere else,” and implying that if I declined, any outcome would be “on me.” This felt intimidating rather than informative. The technician who entered the room did not introduce herself at all, which added to the lack of professionalism. At checkout, a staff member named Lucy was openly rude, showed attitude, and walked away while I was waiting for assistance. I only visited this location because my usual Banfield clinic had no availability. I have always had positive experiences at my regular location, which made this visit especially upsetting. Pet owners bring their animals in when they are sick and vulnerable, and we deserve clear communication and basic respect. This experience left me feeling disrespected and disgusted. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this level of service should not be acceptable.

Very rude and unprofessional booking manager. Did not feel comfortable leaving my pet with this office.

I’ve been bringing my dog Kai to Banfield for a few years now and really enjoy their service and their team of doctors and nurses!

You have to be careful when you come here. My husband and I never fail to get charged for things that we weren't notified about before being charged. Constantly finding out after the fact that we bought something no one mentioned or there's a fee over $100 that no one can be bothered to say a word about until I call asking why I'm the world they charged over $100 more than I agreed to pay.

Clean, loving space where pets--and their human parents--are well attended to. I actually heard an attendant tell the vet that the pet's mom was in the lobby waiting. When I initially adopted my Boston Terrier from ABTR, I had two trips almost back to back where I had to put Strawberry in a kennel. When I finally got her back, the first day ahe wouldn't eat her food. I just knew my furbaby was 'dying' from a throat injury she got after my finger got caught in her throat--in her excitement to see me she jumped up just as I was kneeling over to put her leash on. I called Banfield absolutely convinced something was wrong. I'm ashamed to say I started blubbeting on the phone explaining the injury as well as my guilt from leaving her at the kennel. I wanted to get an appointment as soon as possible. I was encouraged to not come, because they were sure there was no need. It was then explained to me that Strawberry was under a bit of stress from me being gone. But when she was hungry enough, she'd eat. Sure enough, after I stood by her bowl and spoon-fed her a couple of bites (please don't judge me; I was a new parent), she ate everything. She's fine and I remain a huge fan on Banfield in Chantilly.
