- AGAnushri Gaur2 days ago1.0AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Our pet went for a groom and came back wounded on her leg and nose. We showed the nose to the groomer during pickup and she brushed it off saying that it was already wounded at dropoff which is a lie. We later noticed the leg wound at home. When we called and spoke to the manager she argued, spoke very rudely and said the leg wound was also there at dropoff which was false. Instead of apologizing she asked me to take our dog to the vet and if the vet can prove this is caused by a groom then they may consider compensating. No apologies, concern, nothing. We will obviously not be taking her to this place again.

- FDFernanda Del-CantoSep 27, 20251.0Beware if your dog is getting an American pet groomer or a foreign pet groomer since it is randomized of who is the person that is going to cut your dog’s hair. Me and my parents went here to get our dog a haircut here at Petco Grooming back in 2021. Our dog had this Hispanic groomer from Colombia and let me tell you something, he cut our dog way too harsh that our dog ended up getting an ear infection three to five months later. Then we took our dog to PetSmart Grooming at the Vienna location and a nice groomer told us that our dog has an horrible ear infection however he ended up serving our dog. Then our dog couldn’t stop having the pain on his ear infection so we took our dog to the vet. He was in a lot of pain and had to took x rays and the veterinarian had to prescribed him antibiotics. She said to us that this groomer from Petco Grooming caused all of this. We were shocked to hear about this. So we went to Petco Grooming to make a complain to the manager about what the groomer did to our family dog. The manager handled the situation and ended up firing the groomer right away. The manager gave us a refund of the service. Also, the manager said to us that we were not the only ones who had this complaint about this groomer and many people had really bad experiences with this groomer before. This groomer didn’t had the qualifications at all to be a pet groomer. It looks like that he wasn’t licensed to be a pet groomer which is very unethical and illegal to do that. He wasn’t well trained at all. He didn’t have the listening and communication skills. They could have trained him more in a better way. Petco Grooming has horrible management who doesn’t know of how to be in a pet grooming salon. They need to do better of who they really hire for pet groomers and management. Me and my family are not returning to Petco grooming at all. We are never coming back. Please do yourself a favor, do not get a foreign pet groomer since they will take advantage of your dog’s hair and ended up cutting it wrong. I would recommend to go to Petsmart Grooming at the Vienna location. They give you a better service than Petco Grooming.
