  Indian Meal Moth infestation - dry dog food. Don't let this happen to you when buying dry dog food for your dog - check the date on the bag for 'best by'. I've purchased here before and never thought to check the dates on the dog food bag and hadn't had a problem. However, when emptying the contents of the 26lb of Wellness Brand (purchased yesterday) into our home container I noticed some foreign material(s) and reached out to Wellness directly with some pictures of it. They determined it to be and Indian Meal Moth infestation and while not immediately harmful to our pets, it was further determined that this bag was ~24 months old - the best buy date was June 2025! I wouldn't have bought it had I known that, but again, have never had a problem. Wellness said they wouldn't/couldn't stand by the quality of it since the distributor was responsible for storage etc and that made sense to me. I had contacted this Petco store and they were very polite and said the same thing as Wellness Customer Service - probably spiders of some such, but not dangerous and I could return it. However, I'd already dumped a 1/3 into the trash trying to determine what it was and just how pervasive. So just a heads up to folks to check the expiration/best buy dates on your food purchases for your pups as apparently we can't be too careful. I placed an order from Amazon - going to be a couple of days, but I'll take my chances they turn their inventory much faster than Petco.

  Came to get some moss for my isopods. I was told Petco would compare the price of their item with their online store. Never before did I have so much pushback with this. The cashier at first said she couldn't match it because this item was part of the Vital Care Premier exclusive. Ok if that was true then why when I put in my cart on their website it charges me only $5 and some change on the website plus shipping? She then got the manager who also said they couldn't match the price because I wasn't a member of Vital Care . Why is it that the employee and manager do not know how their own website works for the company they work for. It was embarrassing and I won't be going to this location anymore. I'll just save my time and buy it from Amazon which I'm told by several employees at different locations that you match with their prices as well. Please get those two employees some customer service training.

  This is my favorite Petco. The store is always clean, staff are friendly and helpful. When they have animals present, their “housing” is always clean and maintained.

  Had to go petco to pick up my parrots food After finding the brand I get it was stocked on the shelf with a ticket that said $25.99 Went to the registry and Jeffery rang me up. I was charged $31.99. I told him that was the wrong price and the ticket said 25.99 We went and checked, there was another bag on the shelf. I was told it was in the wrong place , and no sorry for the inconvenience or i'll give you that price "since it was our mistake " I guess no customer service at that store, I'll be going elsewhere to spend my hard earned money
