Please do not come here because of Carla or Karla. She is very rude on the phone and does not care about you or your pets. I called for a concern and she was very dismissive and rude. If this is how she treats callers then I can’t even imagine with pets. Please do not come here and management needs to do something about her. They should provide some basic training in customer service and general manners. I spoke to an actual front desk person and she was very nice. She said Carla picked up the phone from the back.

The whole visit was focused on making it seem like I couldnt afford anything. Even before the Doctor did a complimentary exam she has the assistant come in and tell me " For the wellness plan we want to make sure you know you cant just stop paying" I was insulted by that. Typically vets do the exam and come in with treatment options. I even requested my notes as I took my put to a hospital and in the notes it said "patient asked if we could send a rx as she cannot afford a cardiologist" I am beyond unhappy with the service here and never want to feel judged for doing the right thing for my dog, while a clinic wants to find ways to make money. I am looking into reporting this clinic.

I brought my kitten in for a check-up, and the medical care itself was good. They examined my kitten thoroughly and addressed all of the health issues, so I am satisfied with the treatment provided.
However, I was very disappointed with the staff’s attitude and communication. Their behavior felt condescending and made me uncomfortable.
I am not sure whether this is how they treat all clients or if it was just my experience, but I believe I did not act rudely or disrespectfully in any way. While the medical care was handled well, the customer service and communication need improvement.

first time taking my dog here, albiet she had a few problems. the original total i was given was 175$...later they changed it to 600$ and i asked for the wellness plan. they said i could do it and it would take it down to 500$ they called later and told me i couldn't. after the labs, they told me the medicine itself would raise the bill to 1,200$. absurd. they told me 4 different prices and i was not expecting to go over 600$ just for allergies. they shouldve been more transparant with pricing beforehand even though i told the vet the budget i had. MAKE SURE TO ASK PRICING BEFOREHAND

Very poor experience financially. Took my dog in for tests included in my plan and was charged $150 dollars because they classified the visit as hospitalization, saying that meant they’d keep an “extra close eye on him.” Not satisfied with the value of the extra care plan at all.
Frequently Asked Questions About Banfield Pet Hospital
Does Banfield provide emergency care services?
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Can I get veterinary care online?

What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:
• Vaccinations

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
