  Poor reading comprehension and poor communication has me out almost $400. Just beyond silly. I picked up my puppies from one night of overnight stay yesterday evening (Sunday night), where I was informed that because my dogs aren’t spayed, they couldn’t return to daycare until they were. Reason being another unaltered dog was showing too much interest in them. No word as to whether the owner of that unaltered dog was made aware that their pet couldn’t come back until they were. I was made aware of this on a Sunday night, no time to triage or really come up with a solution. After I left, I called again, confirming that in fact had no time to like come up with a plan, and she confirmed as much and gave some apologies which genuinely don’t mean anything or change the notice issue. In a panic and mad dash, I found daycare for them for the week through Rover, which cost me almost $375. I get home, and maybe 30 minutes after I do, I get a call from the facility, where she tells me she re-read her manager’s message, and told me that this was to go info effect after this week. Because it was such a last-minute request, I wouldn’t be able to get a refund through Rover. So now I’m angry, because I’m out hundreds of dollars because someone else lacks reading comprehension skills. I asked for my remaining daycare days to be refunded as compensation for the mess she caused, and she communicated that she’d need to talk to her manager. I am waiting for the charges to be reversed, and a phone call. If I receive neither, I’ll just take the matter to better business bureau. I’m bringing my dogs to daycare because I need to due to my schedule. It is a lifeline, and it is the only way I can get through the work week. To have my whole week set on fire in such a way in such a short amount of time is really too much. I understand you may take your pets here if it is conveniently located in relation to where you live, and that makes sense. I am now looking for other daycare facilities to use moving forward because I simply do not have the bandwidth to manage the added stress that this exchange caused.

  We take our dog here at least once a week for daycare and have also boarded her. She is always so excited to go play with her friends including the staff. The staff greet her by name. When we pick her up she has had so much fun that she doesn’t always want to come home. We feel safe leaving her there. We have been bringing our dog here for the last year and half.

  Kensi loves her friends and human family at Playful Pack! She is as excited to see everyone in the morning as she is to see us at the end of the day!

  Another fun stay for my pups. They are always so exited to arrive at Playful Pack Alexandria and so tired from playing when they get back home. Both good signs IMHO! The staff seems to genuinely love dogs & takes good care of my babies. Thank you!
