1) Came in when they opened assuming it was an in-room visit, instead was told to drop off my dog. They held her there for 9 hours for simple testing due to diarrhea, and I picked her up after closing. Being in a kennel all day left my dog frightened and she now occasionally has shaking fits.
2) Vet tech input the wrong test results (false negative) in her lab records, with no numbers or further details I could provide to a different vet. The most important lab results aren't given in person - you need to find on your profile online.
3) Vet tech failed to send out the stool sample I brought in, despite me paying for the fecal exam. I called 2 weeks later and the manager apologized and gave me a refund. I would not have been informed if I hadn't called...
4) 8 hours after dropping her off the doctor finally called me to briefly tell me my dog has pancreatitis. I took my dog to a different vet in Sugarhouse and the doctors and techs there were confused why she would be given that diagnosis when she shows no symptoms of it (no pain, no inflammation, no low energy, no loss of appetite/thirst). Banfield test results have no further details to support the diagnosis aside from the doctor's notes saying her levels were "Abnormal".
5) They prescribed her an anti-inflammatory despite her coming in due to having GI issues. New vet says this should've never been prescribed and probably upset her further. My dog has continued to have issues since the Banfield visit.

I absolutely love Banfield but this is the worst location I have ever been to. I took my dog in and when I picked her up they gave me an antibiotic prescription that was empty (I have been refunded) which I have never had happen at any vet Banfield or not.

They don't deserve any stars.I will never go back there again.I've been taking my animals there for over 5 years.Just to get their nails trimmed. They haven't been open lately so I made a phone call to see if they were gonna be open. And if I could get my dog's nails denonised yes, made an appointment was supposed to go to the appointment on Monday, and they called and told me that they were going to have to charge me for an office visit and a nail trim. They said that was their policy and has been forever like I said, I've been taking my animals there for over 5 years, getting their nails trimmed, and never have been asked or told that I will never go there again and I'm telling everybody.

Lady was more concerned about me signing up for there plan than worried about the animal I came in for an eye infection. That went away before the appointment and they didn’t even ask me about her eye just trying to get her vaccinated and the monthly plan then I asked her about her eye and then all the sudden it’s even more money and the vaccines couldn’t be done until the vet looks at her eye they would charge 60$ just to look. Definitely more for the money and not the animals

This place has sucked ever since it moved out of the PetSmart. Changes staff constantly, don't seem to be able to keep a vet on staff so their never open, and don't answer their phone. They canceled my dogs vaccine appt that should have just been done a month prior at his comprehensive one. Which they have done for me in the past which shows that they are getting lazier and lazier. I can only do Saturday appts, becuase of my work schedule. The workers don't seem to care that now for months on end they are the only location that keeps canceling and rescheduling on their clients, act like its no big deal. Because of only being able to the Saturday appts. they told me well the great thing about Banfield is they have so many locations in the valley, you can check with one of them for a sooner appt on a Saturday (They didn't have an open Saturday for 2 months, and who knows if that would have even stuck.) If you want me to take my business to another location I gladly will help you do that, if you don't want to be in business at this office anymore. They don't seem to give a crap that their constantly canceling on their patients, the staff don't care about the animals anymore.
I also recently learned that even if your pet passes you still have to pay for the rest of your years wellness plan. That is disgusting and cruel to the owners. They just lost a family member (some people think of their pets that way) and your going to still take money out of their account every month for months. A human rehab center wouldn't still charge a monthly fee if the patient died why do that to pet owners that's just cruel and mean. How heartless can your company be, for the almighty dollar.
