The manager refused to sell us anything, walked away, and completely refused to help us. My ten year old was in tears. The outing was completely ruined. Apparently you have to show them a picture of your setup before they will sell you a fish? That wasn’t posted anywhere and I’m pretty sure the lady looked at the family with four kids and decided we weren’t good enough for her. Needless to say we will never be back - and now I’m left trying to salvage a birthday that ended in tears. I literally can’t say enough awful things about this place and that employee. I’ve never been treated like this, it was humiliating. Shame on petco, nobody should treat anyone this way, much less a ten year old child celebrating a birthday.
- JVJ VOct 23, 20251.0Don't go to this location! No wonder why they have such low stars. A female employee here falsely accused my 3 yo son of stabbing a cat with a feather toy she lended to him. She ripped it off his hand and of course as any 3 yo would do he started crying. She walked away mocking his crying. I went to the manager and he told me that what she did was justified to stop animal cruelty. It was not even animal cruelty. The cats where happily playing. So, there you have it. Never coming back. A fully grown up woman making fun of a baby, That is disgusting and outraging.

I honestly don't know how I would feed crickets to my gecko without them! The only thing that keeps PetCo from 5 stars in their pricing. If I want to buy anything there for my Kitty, it's for quickness, because it's almost always cheeper somewhere else.

I wanted to get some pet fish and I had very little knowledge on what I needed for the fish I wanted. So I went in looking for advice. Every time my fish died I would take them in and a different person would help me but they would have different advice that did not match up with the previous person. One person would tell me one thing and another would tell me something completely different. This last time I took the water in to get tested I was told the water looked great and the tank since it had been about 4 weeks will be all ready to go. I verified with her so I’m ok to get the fish they aren’t going die in a few hours like the last ones? she said no your good to go! Sure enough 5hrs later they were all dead.
