  We had such a wonderful experience with Well Groomed in Layton! From the moment we walked in, the service was professional, welcoming, and incredibly organized. Communication was excellent — they explained everything clearly, listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt comfortable with the grooming plan for my Golden Retriever. A special thank you to Phoenix, who groomed my dog. I am truly grateful for his knowledge and care. He understands the breed standard and the importance of proper coat maintenance. As someone familiar with European grooming standards, I especially appreciated that he would not shave a Golden Retriever, recognizing that they are a double-coated breed and shaving can permanently damage their coat. That level of expertise and integrity means so much. My Golden Retriever came home looking beautiful, natural, and healthy — not overly trimmed, but perfectly groomed while preserving his coat. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs’ wellbeing, not just the appearance. Highly recommend Well Groomed in Layton, especially Phoenix, if you want skilled professionals who truly understand and respect your dog’s needs!

  I was very happy with the grooming service my dog received! Sarah did an excellent job and I will definitely be back. So happy to find a good groomer again.

  Would not recommend! Overall not very happy with the Well Groomed. I had an appointment scheduled at 2 pm so I brought my 2 dogs in at 2pm. I got a text at 3:59 pm that they had finished bathing the dogs and were about to start their haircut… so they were sitting in a kennel 2 hours before they started the grooming?? As far as the actual haircut the did okay, cut them shorter than I would like and said they were matted (they weren’t, I bathe and brush them often). And the part I am most upset with is both of my dogs have clipper burn on their groin areas. I won’t be bringing them back.
