Awesome service, they were able to get me in same day and took great care of my puppers! I will be making them my primary vet from now on!

These people are awesome to work with! I had my puppers who was having some leg issues and they were able to get me in quickly. Were SUPER friendly to my dog and made sure that he was comfortable (he has a lot of anxiety issues) and then were able to find and treat him and charged a pretty decent price for their services.

They canceled our appointment stating that same-day appointment’s aren’t for ear infection’s just wellness checks. But they were willing to schedule my dog who is in pain, to be seen in 5 days. I think waiting five days for a wellness check makes sense, but the same day appointments should probably be for the animals that need to be seen the same day. Terrible service.

The only reason I'm giving any stars at all is because the techs were amazing and so was the front desk people. Also, I took my dog to a female vet here who was incredible and empathetic, but suddenly last spring no matter who I requested my appointment to be wit it was some old guy who always seemed like he was in a hurry to get us out of there after we had waited 30 minutes plus in the room to even be seen. In may Petco grooming expressed my 8 month old border collie lab mix's anal gland after expressly being told bath, nails and sanitary trim only. They did it wrong and caused an impaction and I had to take him to the vet to have it done properly. The regular vet suddenly wasn't there and I had to listen to my baby cry in the back room while this random old guy expressed his anal gland. Then he told me we'd have to check his anal gland every 6 months or so because he'd probably have issues with it for life. This was a completely unnecessary procedure for his breed and age, but after that this vet acted as though it never happened. In August we switched my puppy to adult food and he started having massive diarrhea, I thought that he had worms, vet said low quality food, so I switched him a different brand and the diarrhea stopped and no further tests were done. I had him fixed the first of October and when I took him in for his one year nose to tail almost 3 weeks later I expressed concerns that he wasn't himself and he was eating less, and asked to check his anal gland. Vet said "oh you just had him neutered, it's normal, his hormones are just getting settled." Gave him a clean bill of health and sent us on our way. November 9th was a Sunday and he really declined, so first thing Monday morning I called and they didn't have room for my 15 month old dog that made it to my bedroom door, laid down and had labored breathing and was only responding with his eyes and ears. They referred me to a crappy emergency vet in sunset, who didn't have room for a critical. He died in the parking lot of the emergency vet I found .6 miles from my house. And they did everything in their power to help, even though I showed up unannounced with out calling because they happened to be right there on my way to the sunset place when I threw my phone to the passenger floor board in frustration when the second place I had called in an emergency situation told me my dog wasn't important. I wasted time calling vetco for them to tell me he wasn't important either. He had a massive GI tract infection and fluid in his abdomen which Vetco had multiple opportunities to work with me on and catch this problem before it became an issue, but they continued to brush off my concerns about my service dog until it was too late. He was 15 months old. I will never ever step foot in another petco or vetco in my life. Thank you to the amazing vet technicians and the original female vet we saw there. My cute little guy absolutely loved going to see the pretty girls who were so cute with him. Whoever the old guy was who ignored my concerns until it ultimately killed my dog should not be employed there.

$85 exam fee for an “affordable” vet attached to a giant corporation is an example of the greed destroying this country. That’s a more expensive exam fee than a REAL vet like Banfield or VCA that hires reputable vets. Dave Marion, however, decided to almost completely ignore and downplay the concern I took my dog there for. He barely glanced at the affected area before immediately zoning on a different unrelated "issue" (likely made up to get MORE money, as in the almost 7 years my dog has been in my life, no other respectable vet has raised any similar concerns; this was not an issue that would develop within a year either, as my dog gets yearly wellness checkups, and this has never been mentioned by a reputable vet. Scare tactics to swindle gullible dog owners for more money. Beware of these tactics). He then tried to brush off my concerns for treatment, suggesting I go to the grocery store and buy cream rather than get dog-safe medication from Vetco. What did I pay $85 for then? For Dave Marion to come in, ignore the ONE thing I brought my dog in there for, then hide in the back when I told him this exam was a waste of time if he couldn't offer a solution? Petco/Vetco is a predatory company. I highly suggest you take your dog elsewhere. I gave them a second chance, but they wasted it.
