  Highly recommend Cheat lake. They are all about the animals they are treating! Very thorough, very compassionate!! I don't mind the hour drive at all for the care my Princess Paige gets there!! Dr. Hughes is the best!

  I highly recommend bringing any animal to this animal hospital! I have been dealing with a lot of G.I problems for our bearded dragon and they truly did magic. She hasn’t eaten anything on her own until today ❤️they are angels sent from above and I couldn’t thank them enough ❤️

  Absolute wonderful experience. Had to take my lab in for stitches - the staff was amazing from start to finish given their very hectic Sunday night. Made sure to get the full procure started on a time crunch before a major incident came in. Very cost friendly as well!

  As always, staff is/was very friendly, caring and professional. I've been to quite a few veterinarians and not once been disappointed or not satisfied with Cheat Lake. It's worth the 45 minute drive and my pets deserve the best

  Do not take your animals here, especially exotic animals. They do not have a handle on pricing, they will give you the wrong amount. They don't do payment plans. I had an appointment that cheat lake vet had cancelled on me, they marked my pet as deceased "by mistake". They also gave my pets a vaccine that wasn't FDA approved apparently, didn't tell me, years and years later I call for records and that's when they tell me what I essentially paid for is invalid. PLEASE report them to the veterinary board, they haven't been the same clinic since COVID.
