  I toured several boarding facilities in the area and saved Top of the Valley (TOTV) for last—and wow, what a difference! Some places I visited were dirty, understaffed, or lacked overnight care. Others seemed inexperienced or too small, one is next to a very busy street, and also right next to a very problematic motel which was a huge turn off as nobody stays there overnight either. Two places in Amery had concerning stories from past clients. None gave me the peace of mind I wanted for my dog. TOTV, on the other hand, exceeded every expectation. The staff are professional, experienced, and clearly love what they do. Their facility is spotless, calm, and safe—even with lots of dogs on-site. They take dogs of all kinds, including those not spayed or neutered, which shows they know how to handle a variety of temperaments. I also love the flexible options for my dog—daycare, walks, snuggles, and plenty of individual attention. Check-ins via text, photo updates, and Facebook posts made us feel connected while we were away. TOTV is on a quiet dead-end street, on beautiful acreage, staffed by a knowledgeable team, and run by a caring family. With similar pricing to other local kennels, choosing TOTV was a no-brainer. We won’t be going anywhere else. Thank you, TOTV team, for keeping our dogs happy, safe, and loved while we’re away!

  We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Our shepherd mix struggled with leash manners and jumping, and no matter what we tried at home, nothing seemed to stick. After one week of training sessions, the improvement has been incredible. She no longer pulls on walks, and she’s finally on the same page with us when it comes to staying calm and not jumping on people. The patience, care, and expertise they show with every dog is so clear, and we especially appreciated the take-home training guide to help us stay consistent. We’ve also brought her in for grooming, and the groomers are truly the best, worth every dollar. If you’re looking for a place that does it all and genuinely cares, don’t go anywhere else.   Our Alaskan Klee Kai Willow just spent the weekend here. We signed up for the extra walks and cuddles as she isn’t a fan of other dogs. I asked for pictures of her as it was my first time getting any of my pets boarded. I didn’t receive any on the first day, but the second and last day, I got videos and pictures. The staff was very nice and I knew they care for animals and enjoy their job! Thank you again! 5⭐️

  I can’t say enough great things about Top of the Valley Pet Resort! The team is welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly cares about every dog. The grooming is outstanding—these groomers are highly experienced and it shows. My pup’s haircut was clean, professional, and tailored perfectly to them. They take their time and make sure every dog is comfortable and stress-free. You can trust your pet is in amazing hands here. Highly recommend!

  We boarded our dog, Dice 10 days. Dice has a pretty sad past. Having been at a shelter previously for about 6 yrs. Ŵith next to no socialization with other dogs or people. He has been part of our family for 3 yrs. He will be 12 in August. I admit that I was worried how he would do. Would he think we were giving up on him as a few people did. I appreciated the updates letting me know he was getting along great! It certainly put my mind at ease. I would not hesitate to board him again at your facility. He also received the best groom he has ever had. When we picked him up, he missed us but was so calm. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of him.
