  I was really disappointed with my experience at this location. 😕 I simply wanted to buy a small goldfish for my child’s bowl, but they wouldn’t sell one to us. 🐟 My kid was extremely upset afterward and now keeps asking for a much larger 10-gallon tank! 😅 Unfortunately, the whole situation left a bad impression, and I don’t plan on returning to this location. 👎

  Your team member Joe is fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. We came in to purchase my son’s first school of fish. He was happy to share his expertise and answer all of our questions. Thanks Joe!

  I just adopted a kitty and was shopping for the main essentials-feeling a bit overwhelmed with the selection of stuff needed. Amber came by and was so helpful, sharing so many tips & advice. And even went so far as telling me if I had any further questions/ concerns to feel free to call Petco & ask for her. What a great welcome to the store. Haven’t seen that level of customer service in a long time.

  I went in to buy a turtle. I have two turtles at home. I have experience caring for turtles and nursing them back to health. I picked the one that I wanted to buy. I picked it it up to make sure she was healthy, not bitten by others, check nails, scaled and overall health. Then suddenly an employee starts screaming and acting quite overwhelmed. She continued yelling and asking what I was doing. Keep in mind I had talked to another employee previously and as I was inquiring about them turtles she walked off. So I did my thing. I realized quite emotional and I offered the turtle back to her, and asked her if she could box it up so I can take it home. She continued to say “this turtle could have bitten you, destroyed your finger” I smiled because she exposed how ignorant she was. The turtle was barely 3 inches long, i been handling turtles for years, and been bitten by baby turtles before. She was so overwhelmed she said “I need to take a minute” and shaking my walked back to the registers. Another employee came back and said “before you take the turtle I need to make sure you have the right set up” i said yes, Great I have a +60Gal tank, 14x14 platform on top with UVB UVA light bulbs. But she wanted to see pictures. I showed her pictures and she SAW that my set up was adequate, but kept asking questions, at the point I realized she wasn’t asking to make sure the turtle would have a great home she was looking for excuses to not sell me the turtle. At the end. She admitted SHE wasn’t FEELING “comfortable” with me purchasing a baby turtle. So WHY would she be working at a retail business where they sell animals. I’m a competent, turtle owner with years of experience. And she was clearly distressed the moment she saw me holding the turtle. I am a disable veteran and I am All in for employers who employ people with disabilities. So, customers please be ware of some ppl that don’t know how to handle their emotions at a workplace. I was scared for her, hope she’s okay.
