  Today my husband and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved Cooper down. He was almost 13 and had joint problems which within the last week were getting worse. We switched to Packerland vet a couple years ago and they have always treated us with respect and my dog with compassion. After he could barely get out to go to the bathroom last night we decided it was time to let him go. We did not want to wait until he went down paralyzed and scared and in pain and have to rush him to the emergency vet in Appleton and turn his last moments into a nightmare. We called at 8 o'clock this morning and they could not have been more compassionate or accommodating for us. We took Cooper in and they put his IV in and brought him into a room by us where we had as much time as we needed to hug him and tell him how much we loved him. They did not rush us we let them know when we were ready. And as my husband put his arms around him And he was eating a treat out of my hand so she could put the sedative in his IV port his whole body just went limp. And then they gave him the last shot to stop his heart and gave us time to hold him and pet him and say one last goodbye. We left A part of our hearts behind with him But we also knew we gave him the best life we could have and they gave him the most compassionate fast painless humane death he could've had And that gave us some comfort. I want to thank The receptionist, The vet tech, The veterinarian And everyone who made an utterly crushing experience less painful For Cooper and also for us.

  After months of unsuccessful treatment for a corneal ulcer at 2 different vets in Appleton I found Dr. Geaudry at Packerland. She immediately knew what to do and within a month my dog’s eye was healed. The staff at this clinic is wonderful and I feel that the love and care of animals is everyone’s top priority. I get the impression that most of the staff members are long term and enjoy working there. I can’t say enough about how happy I am to have Packerland Veterinary Clinic as my dog’s vet.

  Dr Dunbar did surgery for my dogs ACL tear and he was fabulous. He sat down with me and explained everything and the different types of surgeries my dog could have. We chose the newest surgery the CBLO and my dog is doing great! He is back to his normal self being able to run and swim with no pain. Thank you Dr Dunbar! I did have one bad experience here though and it was an emergency with my 9 year old yellow lab that had been diagnosed with cancer. We called Packerland and they said to bring him right I . We ended up having to euthanize him. I asked the Dr treating him I think it was Dr Olson if she would sedate him first and she said no. I still relive that day over and over in my mind that my beautiful boy went like that. It was a very traumatic experience.

  Packerland Vet is amazing! They take such great care of my dog. He was nervous at first so the vet tech sat on the floor, gave him pets, and played fetch with him to get him more comfortable! The only vet I trust!

  I was running late for my dogs appt, when we got there they worked with me and still squeezed us in thankfully. The staff is nice and very helpful. The vet took good care of my dog.
