I didn't get along with the cashier when it came to the returns. Maybe having a rough day. I had the packing slip, but she was unable to retrieve it for some reason. After that, I went in search of dog sweaters, asked if they had any, and was informed what they have is out. I asked her when she anticipated receiving the sweaters. I've bought sweaters before & had to grit my teeth to ask in Nov or Dec. Next, I made a bag of goodies with a $9.99 sign. Maybe because the sign's corner was folded over, I didn't notice that price was per pound. (suggestion sign should have per pound under the $9.99 - there wasn't a scale hence the $9.99/bag) Total was $44. I said too much & now what do we do? She gave me my options. Being in retail Ikw how irrating this was so I offered again to help sort the treats. She was rude & I decided to leave as it would give the cashiers something to do rather than standing around chatting. Did I feel bad yes. Basically, nothing friendly about her. It was like she wasn't in the mood to be working that day. Petco wanted my feedback so here it is.

Bought 3 neon tetras a week ago to add to my other 2 tetras. One of the new ones died within a day. A week later, I’ve lost all my tetras, a cat, and one molly. Will not buy from here again.

I come here nearly weekly for my cats wet food, and have never had an issue until today. The cashier at around 2:30 today was scanning my items strangely. Like scanning one, and then typing a quantity on the computer. It shouldn’t be that hard to scan 8 cans. I asked her why she was doing it the way she was, instead of scanning each can one by one, and she said “it takes longer”. It’s… only 8 cans. I have previously worked as a cashier for 10 years, so this baffled me. I said, “I’m just making sure you’re not going to overcharge me.” I get home and guess what? She did overcharge me for a can of food I didn’t purchase! Thankfully, I was able to call and get the can refunded, but it took awhile. If you buy many cans of wet food at a time, BE CAREFUL. Make sure the cashier doesn’t overcharge you! Come on Petco, do better. Why over complicate something that is easy?

Gotta be open when you advertise or changs the time please. Was there at 4:39. I Have tried multiple times for grooming and no one has been there. Talked to Cashier and she advised they cutout early often. Do better, people come out of their way based on your posted hours. Not cool
