  I took time off work to bring my dog in for a first time grooming. I brought the paperwork that my vet had given me which clearly states he had a rabies shot. The groomer would not accept the paperwork because I had taken two dogs in to be vaccinated. The paperwork clearly shows that he had been vaccinated. I left, double checked the paperwork were it clearly shows he had been vaccinated and then she said it doesn't show the expiration, when I showed her it does she then stated well you got mad at me. I told her that I would not be using there service today. I did not raise my voice, I was clearly angry but polite. What a gigantic waste of time, I will never again go to another Petco and will make sure to spread the word.

  Very bad experience today. I’ve been going to Petco grooming Salon for a few years now. Sadly, our favorite groomer relocated about six months ago and service has been dissatisfactory ever since. The next groomer we went to I could tell was impatient and Was pulling my dogs along to get them in the back. She was not kind with them and they could tell something was different. When I picked them up, my one dog was whining and couldn’t get to the car fast enough. I thought perhaps this would be a groomer specific situation so I decided to try again with another groomer. When I got there today, Both of my dogs stood behind me, one trembling . This never happened before he always liked going but not anymore. I had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone helped me Even though I was on time for my appointment. The woman behind the counter, confronted me asking if I knew about my dog’s bad behavior when her feet are being groomed she said that it had happened at the other location and that she “went crazy” biting the groomer when her feet were being trimmed. First of all, if something like this did happen I would expect at the time I pick up my dog, The groomer would have said something which was not the case. The other problem is, I’ve never been to a different location and my dog has short hair thus never needing a trim. plus she wears her nails down naturally as she’s always on the go And in the past groomers did not trim her nails for this reason. I told this to the woman and she argued with me. Then finally, she looked at my dogs feet and said “oh you’re right she doesn’t need a nail trim”. All this stress for nothing - then she told me I needed an updated rabies certificate, but that too is already in the portal as I have Done all my shot records through Vetco. 🤷‍♀️ Finally, a groomer comes over to take my dogs back. He looked uncomfortable and unsure. I told him that my dog was skittish around new people and it would be best to go slow. Give her lots of praise. He carefully put his hand out and she let him pet her, however, I had to walk her back because she was still apprehensive. as she was sniffing something, he came up behind her and started aggressively scratching her on the back which startled her and caused her to turn and growl at him. Then they treated me like I was a criminal And looked at me as if I was the one at fault. The whole situation made me so uncomfortable that I left. I should’ve learned my lesson from the last visit. unless you have a particular groomer that you have an established relationship with at this location I do not Recommend. I will never go back.

  Elizabeth and Hayden took extra care of our puppy who doesn’t like getting his nails done. thank you!!!

  They were absolutely wonderful with my puppy. It was her first bath and they did a great job. She got the works and was so soft and shiny afterwards.

  My dog looks and smell fabulous after the grooming! It’s a miracle! He does not want me to even brush him.
