Doctors barely did anything when I had worries with my cat saying they had never seen a case like her in their 20 years of practice which made me worry and buy her the wellness package. the issue had turned out to be fatty tumors that went away on their own. i had originally asked if that was what it was and the vet said it wasnt that and it couldve been cancerous which pressured me into buying the package. Do not come here.
- DRDr. Bevyn RowlandJul 17, 20265.0Dr. Kiera Kienle and Tech Amanda were absolutely fantastic when I brought LilD in for a dental consult. The ONLY reason I am still with Banfield is Dr. K herself. She first diagnosed my SoulDog's cancer back in 2012 and helped me see when it was time to finally let him go in 2022. Her heart for my dogs and myself is just one of the most remarkable things I've experienced with a vet, and has been worth every moment of frustration with the organization of Banfield. Her Tech Amanda (visit in July 2026) was remarkable, helpful and truly a solid team mate in making decisions for my little guy. Unfortunately, due to the (at best) very unclear (at worst) predatory financial practices of Banfield, I am in the process of seeing if my ongoing vet for another dog will be a better fit for the money and reliability (having to pay monthly for a plan after a pet has passed away is disgusting. Also: communication about cost increases this year were unbelievably opaque.) The bottom line: I adore and more importantly TRUST Dr. K; I have to consider the best for my entire family due to Banfield's practices. Dr. Kienle and Amanda 10:10; chefs kisses, devil horns, all that. As for Banfield itself, that's another review entirely and will be clear when I finally depart--whether it's this year or next.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
