I’ve been with Banfield for almost 10 years since I got my first sweet girl Moka (who also can be a handful at times).
Banfield staff, care team and vets have always been supportive, friendly and helpful. Albeit it depends on which location you go to at times, however, the 4th plain location has been my go to for the last few years and feel they understand Moka’s anxiety/fears and work with her.
Here are some examples:
Moka has been on Prozac for a number of years thanks to discussions with the vet. The Prozac has considerably calmed her brain and she can stand being around people that otherwise she would not. It took a bit of time to figure out the right dose.
She also takes gabapentin and trazodone when going to the vet. The gabapentin was an add-on after sharing that the trazodone was not enough. That honestly works miracles and makes giving baths easier!
She has seasonal allergies and instead of waiting till after she reacts, we are proactive and get her the allergy shots before as now know she reacts in late spring/early summer.
She also has food allergies which I got a test from the local pet shop and when follow it, she doesn’t have issues. This was easier than doing a food trial test.
After years of frequent anal gland expressions, I had a dr help create a plan to get her more probiotics and fiber in her diet and the last few months she hasn’t had full glands where typically it was almost monthly.
I love that I can share with Banfield care team any issues I see and they give me ideas that have resulted in better care for Moka.
The wellness plan prices are more reasonable than going to a one of a kind vet. If you don’t need medicine right away, they can send a script to Costco or an online pharmacy.
Being an advocate for your pet is important, and Banfield 4th plain has truly listened to all concerns. I highly recommend them!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this Banfield location. Everyone is friendly, professional, patient and caring towards my two fur babies. I rarely have to wait to be seen, even on short notice. This was a huge issue at previous vets.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
