  My 14 year old dog normally LOVES getting groomed. We've gone here 3 times, and each time he is terrified and desperate to leave by the end. This is also the ONLY Petco location or Pet salon where I'm told he has trouble with getting his nails dremmeled. And this last time for some reason they didn't even let me see my dog till i'd finished paying, which has never happened before, and frankly was uncomfortable. We will not be going back, he's too old to be this stressed and there's plenty of other groomers in Seattle with comparable prices/services.

  Great store typically, but some of the teenager employees here have major attitude problems, they had an item on sale online which the girl up-front wasn't willing to match the price on as they usually do, I had to place the order then wait for an hour for it to be prepared even tho the item was right there.

  sadly one thing overshadowed the entire appointment. The groomer Jaime did an excellent job. I have a short-haired dog that doesn't require much in the way of a bath so booked online the simplest treatment. I was unaware that they then used the Bait & Switch (an illegal tactic) and upped the price from $42 to $49 plus materials fee (whatever that is) and tip. These unlawful practices are adding up to millions for big business and further digging into customers pockets. Worst part I called to get the $7 refund from someone who was working from home in a foreign country, was impossible to understand, could hear her tending her kids in the background & gave me a false name. Filling out their after the fact form does nothing either. Caveat Emptor. No more Petco for me. Sadly not helpful to groomers and I admit I tend to tip less when I'm hit with multiple added charges. If I'm getting gouged anyway would rather it didn't go to big business and billionaires.

  You would probably have better results by hiring your neighbor’s kid with on a sugar high with a pair of safety scissors to take your dog outside and wash them with the garden hose. Wholly incompetent and nasty, this grooming department lacks any customer service and clearly should not be in the business of interacting with animals. If you manage to cut my dog with a pair of shears in one place that might be understandable. But doing so in multiple places with one of the chillest dogs I’ve met you either have the hand eye coordination of Helen Keller or you shouldn’t be allowed near sharp objects. Furthermore, don’t get upset when you only give 15 minutes warning and your clients aren’t waiting in the parking lot to pick up their dogs right on time. I’m sorry that you hate your job, but either quit or learn how to smile and bear the sadness of the world like we all do.
