  If i could give less than 1 star I would. Horrible experience. I took my dog to Northgate Veterinary Clinic for a second opinion and had blood work performed. When I called for the results, my dog had not eaten for 48 hours and was vomiting. I explained how serious his condition was and that I was extremely concerned. I was told the blood work had been received, but because my regular veterinarian wasn't there, the doctor on duty couldn't read or interpret the lab results, so I would have to wait until the next day. I couldn't believe that a veterinary clinic would have blood work available but no one able to explain the results while my dog was clearly very sick. As a pet owner, this was incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking. I expected much better communication and a greater sense of urgency. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

  Service was okay, the expertise is questionable for the price. I came in for an annual checkup for my kittens. I asked if they could check whether my kitten was spayed, and the vet said that IT WASN’T POSSIBLE TO CHECK. She said, “If she shows signs of heat, then let us know.” A couple weeks later, my kitten showed health complications that related to her not being spayed. I felt disappointed when I found out through other vets that you CAN check when a cat has been spayed. This clinic could’ve anticipated this issue for me but didn’t have the expertise to, and I was still charged $600 for the service.

  I took my dog to Northgate Veterinarian in mid-December last year for a senior wellness appointment. The vet was friendly, but the visit felt like a heavy sales pitch for every possible service. I could only afford the senior blood panel, which cost me my last $550. They assured me results would be back within 24 hours. I never received a call. When I tried calling them the next day, their phone was disconnected. Texting their callback number and emailing also got no response. Their phone stayed disconnected for nearly ten days. It took over two weeks to finally get the bloodwork results. The results showed my dog had diabetes and other serious issues. They refused to prescribe any medication for the diabetes. The long delay meant my dog went untreated for critical weeks. I believe this delay contributed significantly to his decline, and he sadly passed away on February 14th. God Bless Tux! I was charged the full amount despite the complete lack of follow-up and unacceptable delay on a critical test and no prescriptions would be written without paying more money. They took all of are money and alo charged us more than triple other vets charge for a senior panel. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for veterinary care.
