Established care for a senior pet. Was extremely unhappy with our last clinic as staff was never stable. Dr. Lauren and Seattle made you feel like my pet was definitely part of a wonderful family. Helped with getting the best cost possible for necessary care! Never felt pressured to do anything I didn't feel comfortable with.

I took my beautiful 17 year-old female spayed, cat into thei Renton clinic with a severe cold and ear infection. They of course, wanted to do bloodwork and we asked them to dodo a thyroid test just to be sure that there was nothing wrong.
When they brought her back to us after the blood draw and gave us the results of her blood draw/thyroid test, which was normal all they were concerned about was getting us to bring Smokie back in a month to get another thyroid test just to make sure
They never once did an exam or looked in her ears, her nose, her mouth her eyes they finally looked in her eyes when I asked them to because they didn’t look right to me, but that’s all they did. We were told that she was a good healthy cat(@5lbs) who had a virus and to let it run its course. . Now No remember, we had told them she had had this upper respiratory infection in her nose keep where It had snuck coming out of constantly, and I had to use a bulbsyringe to keep it cleaned out you could breathe, Servingcoming out of her eyes and problems with her ears for a month a—a 17 yr old cat and they sent us home with no antibiotics but kept pushing us on the thyroid test, even trying to get us to schedule an appointmentk
Two weeks later, we were at Affordable care vet with a chat on her deathbed she couldn’t stand up if she couldn’t eat she couldn’t drink she couldn’t do anything. We thought we were taking to have to have her euthanized fortunately Affordable that has doctors and staff that absolute care about animals and not just money. They gave her a high dose of antibiotics of fluid and sent us home with the antibiotics what time we got home she was almost back to herself unfortunately, we had Smoky for at least another 2 1/2 months almost 3 months until the ear infection which Banfield never even looked for or treated had gotten into her bone and into the brain and it was too late even with all the work Affordable that did we had to have smoky put down and she crossed the rainbow bridge on August 14 because she could not move her back legs at all. She could barely lift her head. She was still trying so hard to eat and drink, but she couldn’t lift her head. .
We took her to veg vet right next to the Safeway on 3/20 who’s so very very kindly get the euthanasia for free because we had had to spend every penny I had and my daughter had to pay all the other vets and Smoky to her last breath trying to get to me. She easily could’ve had another two or three years if Banfield had just actually done a well care, check and checked her over and giving her an antibiotic, but the only thing Banfield cares about his money. They get it out of you when they can with their life and they screw you out of it when you have to take care of your animal after they passed I would not recommend any Banfield if you want compassionate caring clinic

I have so much gratitude for this Banfield and the staff that work there. I had a really scary experience with my cat about a week ago. The bathroom door was accidentally closed on his tail and he had to have emergency surgery at a 24 hr emergency clinic in Auburn. The surgery was expensive and they sent him home with a cone and two sutures in his tail. Unfortunately the cone that they fitted him with was too short and he tore one of the sutures in the middle of the night. I called the same clinic that did the surgery but they were too busy to take any patients and couldn’t see him again. I called around to see if another 24 hour clinic could help him but they quoted me $800+ to fix the suture, after I already spent pretty much all of the money I had on the $1600 surgery. I was being pressured to take him to an emergency ER right away because they were worried about him getting an infection but I was so scared because I literally didn’t have the money to afford the quote I was being given. I ended up taking him to Banfield because it was closer, and I could do an early morning drop off. We have also been paying for the monthly service so I was praying that it could be more affordable. I stayed up with my cat until the morning to make sure the bleeding stopped and the wound was clean, then dropped him off here. The nurse was so incredibly sweet, the two ladies at the counter were amazing, and the doctor was honest, reasonable, and calming. He ended up choosing not to put in a new suture and reassured me that even though the wound was partially opened, it was clean and was already healing well. He recommended keeping him on his antibiotics and keeping the wound clean. He charged us $0 for the visit. I cried tears of relief. My kitty is continuing to recover wonderfully (with a better cone that I purchased at the pet store) and I didn’t have to sacrifice my ability to pay rent. This Banfield has some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I feel so safe brining my cat here. Thank you Banfield for taking good care of my baby and for being so patient with me while I was in a state of panic. We took him in for another check up today at the same Banfield and they removed the remaining suture because the wound is healing so well!

⚠️ DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS, AND DISCRIMINATORY!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Save your pets and your dignity and avoid Banfield Pet Hospital in Renton. The medical staff might be okay, but the front desk receptionists are absolutely vile, dishonest, and deeply discriminatory.
My cat Mocha was treated here, and we had a follow-up scheduled. When I asked a simple question over the phone about follow-up fees, the receptionist grew hostile. When I drove to the clinic minutes later to get an honest answer, the staff literally began playing games and lying to my face. Within a span of 5 minutes, they told me the manager was in a meeting, then said the manager never came in, then pretended the doctor wasn't there, and finally claimed the supervisor was gone too—all while whispering, mocking, and laughing at me right in the lobby. It was pure discrimination and an utterly degrading experience.
On top of their disgusting behavior, they are completely disorganized and untrustworthy. They lost my cat's blue medical folder during our first visit, denied having it over the phone for days, and only after a heated confrontation today did we find it thrown carelessly among the receptionist's desk papers.
They lack basic human ethics, respect, and professionalism. Do not bring your beloved pets here unless you want to be scammed, lied to, and racially insulted by the front desk staff. Absolutely disgraceful.
