  Just got a puppy and tried to go to Costco for puppy food and wouldn’t let me in with the puppy so I said I’ll just take my business elsewhere. Went to Petco where we were greeted with smiles, compliments and understanding. Thank you for allowing us to shop together

  Terrible experience. Went in looking for a small bird cage and some baby bird feed for this injured bird I found. The Petsmart employees told me to go there as they were out of stock at Petsmart. But very friendly, tried to help, and wished me the best when explaining my situation. That can't be said about the staff here. Explained my situation to this younger blonde woman working there, was told to keep the baby bird i had with me away from her, with quite a bit of unnecessary attitude. Maybe she forgot she works in a pet store? Told me she would call someone over to the bird section to help me, 15 minutes pass and no one comes. Likely told me that just to get me away from her. Bought some bird feed after some input from a friend I had to call. Rude and terrible service, no concern for animals in need. Unless you need something specifically there I would stay away. The Petsmart nearby in the plaza over has good stock, helpful employees, and never had an issue there. Couple of Mudbays in town, on South Hill and on Shaw. Stay away, you are a nuisance here, not a customer.

  I ordered two martingale collars and followed the sizing recommendations on Petco’s website which recommended size Large. The collars finally arrived and were far too big even on the tightest possible setting which was very disappointing. I returned them to the store which isn’t close by so waited until I was in the area confident in the 60 day return window. The sole cashier was tied up with a customer and several customers ahead of me. After several minutes a second cashier arrived and I finally got served. I didn’t pay close enough attention to the return policy so received a gift card. because my original online order was over 30 days. I got directions to the martingale collars area in the store and found they were completely out of stock except to one for a very small dog. The cashier looked up the medium size I needed and advised me the collars had been discontinued with only one in stock at a store several miles away. Overall a very disappointing experience and I wished I’d shopped elsewhere. I now have a gift card and no collars. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1 star. Another wasted journey to this store. Inventory for dog collars is abysmal. I spoke to the store manager who said they do inventory and place orders but claims the items to restock don’t arrive. If I didn’t have a gift card to redeem from the first part of this review I wouldn’t bother with this store again. I hope you have better luck than me.
