Cooper point Rd Petco is the best Petcos I have ever been in. Clean store, clean bathroom, clean cages, well cared for animals, healthy animals.

negative stars if I could. I am devastated to see the condition of some of the fish I saw at this location. employees always appear irritated when you notify them of fish that are sick, dead, or suffering. I saw several displays of visible illnesses, no observation labels, terrible stock pairings, severe overstocking (even for shop tanks), and lackluster setups. I rarely see any fish department employees who seem to care about the fish. I know there is one employee who is trying her hardest in the fish department. my heart shattered seeing the axolotl, puffer, and the eel. I am baffled by the fact that the eel and the puffer are in the same tank (let alone a small one) and the cherry on top was the two aggressive predator fish (puffer and eel) laying inactive at the bottom of the tank snuggling each other for comfort. The puffer seems to have some sort of bacterial/fungal issue. unsure if he is being treated or not but it’s disappointing that the tank is not locked down until the issue has been resolved. the lotl tank was dirty and depressing. please do better 💗.

I have two times now on different occasions to not received my order, when I call the store I get told that sucks and they don’t know what to say and to reach out to DoorDash yet the order doesn’t even have an option to check DoorDash it says to reach out to the store. Both times my same day delivery that was placed in the morning was never received and when I call and ask I get told that it will not be picked up til the next day or that the order never even went through on their end but did on mine, when I asked in store why this has been a multiple time issue they just stare and say I don’t know what to tell you. I understand that animals aren’t humans but come on.. they are still animals / living creatures they still need to eat and have litter, not everyone has the ability to go in store every time. You shouldn’t be offering a service if you guys are not able to actually provide that service in the time you guarantee.

Stocking could use some improvement but it seems to be inventory issues and not stocking issues. Store is clean, people and pet friendly and the associates here are excited to help.

Younger female employee with a black bob haircut cut in front of the product I was standing on front of and talking out loud about grabbing (on the phone.) No "excuse me," didn't even look at me, didn't try to lean to give me room to grab the item. If she hadn't practically dove onto the floor I would've just gotten what I needed and been out of her way in two seconds. When I walked past her and said "excuse me" because I have basic manners she didn't smile or say a single word to me, just a sort of annoyed glance. I get that customer interactions are the most annoying part of a job, especially when you're trying to do something else, but I wasn't trying to interact with her in the first place! Every time I've worked anywhere all employees are expected to AT LEAST smile and nod to customers they make eye contact with, and to let the customer get what they need before getting in their way with something like stocking (which is what she was doing) or cleaning. Back when I was little the employees would call a greeting to you the moment you walked in, and someone was active in each department asking if customers needed help with anything. Nowadays you are oddly left to your own devices. They seem very understaffed.
