  Keagan is an excellent groomer for both my Mini Aussie and my Bassett/Lab mix. Both dogs are seniors and Keagan is very patient with them.

  Never again! I was greeted by two very rude groomers. I had explained that my dog was overdue and I knew that she had mats in her ears and also her tail. I was told that they would have to shave the tell and it would look like a rat's tail because they just didn't have the time to brush it out. I was also told that while they could charge me for it but they just didn't have the time. I had explained that I knew that she was overdue and that I had a brand new grandson that had been in the NICU and things just got away from me for a while. I then asked if there was anything at all they could possibly do besides shave her tail and I was met with well we can just chop her tail off if you'd like. How rude. I managed to slow my temper. My dog needed to be cut and her regular groomer was not available. I also asked him to take her down just a little bit further but I said from the minute I walked in that I did not like a traditional poodle cut and then I don't get her shaved. I was told that the girl that would be doing her was in training and that I probably wouldn't be able to pick her up till about 5:30 maybe 6:00. I said that was fine I had no issues with that. I believe that everybody start somewhere. I didn't care that she was in training. What I did care about is that when I came back to pick up my dog the girl practically shoved my dog in my arms and couldn't wait to rush out the door as I was trying to get a tip out of my purse for her. A tip mind you, that at closer inspection when I got my dog home and she was calmer, she did not deserve. My dog has bald spots. I have never in my life got my dog shaved like this. The backs of her legs have chunks where you could see that skin on her. Same thing with her back. I did not ask them to take her down that low. I did not ask for the rudeness. I did still leave her a tip though. The only reason why I would ever go back to this Petco again would not be to go to the groomer. I would go to the actual store itself because the manager Audra was amazing. I called on Monday morning after everybody saw my dog and said are you kidding me they really charged you that much to do this? Audra was patient, kind, and very understanding. She gave me a refund and also the bandana that my dog was supposed to get with the extra package I paid for. My dog went all was said and done came home with no bandana that I paid for and not even a bow. But lots of bald spots and she looked horrendous. Thank you Audra for being kind and understanding. Thank you for being a supreme manager and for caring about your customers. I would never bring my dog and leave her in Ivy's care again. I understand she was in training but maybe perhaps if my dog was in that bad of shape as they portrayed her to be, maybe another groomer? Or maybe they could have told me to bring her another day. Yes, I may have been disappointed. I would have understood though and I would have wanted that for my dog rather than have her butchered the way she was. Thank you again Audra, I will come visit your store again. Sadly not your grooming Department. I know you had nothing to do with that. I appreciate your kindness and understanding and everything you did for me when I came back into the store that Monday afternoon. Audra is the bomb. The Grooming Department stinks. To tell a pet owner that you would chop their tail off his whole friend is and definitely not called for. I never received an apology even after I made the complaint. I believe in my heart that Audra addressed this. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to make a customer feel a little more comfortable with an apology. I'm talking about the grooming department now. Audra apologized up one side and down the other and couldn't do enough for me. All in all do not bring your pet to get cut here at Petco because they clearly can't handle the harder cases.
