  Our doodle was a mess. He’s a year old and all of a sudden I could not keep up with the matting of his under coat. Gals at Petco did not complain. They took him in and cleaned him up and gave him a great haircut!

  This was my first experience with the Kent location for grooming services. Staff was not very friendly or welcoming. When we picked up our boy we were asked to pay first, I’ve used petco grooming for years and we have never been asked to pay before seeing our pets or getting them back (could be a new policy , not sure). We paid and went back to get our pup and he had poop on his butt and pee on his leg. So disappointed and will not return. I’ve gone to Puyallup in the past and have always had amazing experiences & the staff is so friendly there. Skip out on this location.

  Groomers are very patient and friendly. My dogs live going to see their favorite groomer Ali because she genuinely loves her clients.

  NEVER bring your dog here for grooming. Alarming that I heard dogs crying like crazy these past couple times. I’ve been bringing my Samoyed to this Petco grooming salon for the last 3 years probably 10–12 visits total but today was by far the worst customer experience I’ve had. My dog has always been a little anxious during drop-off. He shakes for a few minutes in the beginning, then settles down and completes grooming just fine. This has NEVER been an issue before, and the salon staff themselves acknowledged they recognized him and had groomed him multiple times in the past. I’ve also appreciated the staff’s work by always giving them 25-30% in tips. However, we were turned away after arriving for the appointment because they suddenly decided he was “too anxious.” (Apparently HE WAS ONE GROOMING SESSION AWAY FROM A FREE ONE). What made the situation frustrating was not just the rejection, but the inconsistency and attitude. There were other visibly anxious dogs in the salon barking and shaking that were still accepted, yet my dog was denied service. If this salon has changed its policy or no longer wants to groom anxious dogs, that should be communicated clearly BEFORE customers drive in for appointments especially long-time returning customers with an established grooming history. I also want to specifically mention Nikki, whose behavior came across as RACIST, DISMISSIVE and unnecessarily RUDE throughout the conversation. I remained respectful the entire time and even mentioned how much I appreciated the work they had done on my dog over the years, but the response I received lacked empathy and professionalism. Very disappointing experience from a place I had trusted for years.
