  After having traveled from Auburn... Unfortunately they did not have what I was looking for when I came in there and the selection of fish that I was looking for was not what I was hoping it would be nor the type of filter that I was trying to buy as well... Although the associates were very helpful in getting me what I did want and could find their selection of snails however was very limited which is one thing that I come in there for

  Very Disappointing Customer Service I visited Petco today with my family and went to the fish section because we needed assistance purchasing feeder fish. Once again, all of the fish tank lights were off, just as they were during our previous visit, which already made the area feel unattended. We needed help, but no employee approached us. We eventually saw Shelby sitting on the floor restocking items on a shelf, so we politely asked if she could assist us with the feeder fish. Rather than getting up or acknowledging us professionally, she remained seated and asked how large our pond was because the feeder fish can grow quite large. We explained that the fish were for our turtle, and she smirked while continuing to sit on the floor. Her tone and attitude came across as extremely rude and dismissive, and she provided no helpful response or assistance. I was honestly in disbelief at how we were treated. I have worked in customer service myself, and I understand that employees may have tasks to complete, but there is still an expectation to acknowledge customers, communicate respectfully, and make an effort to assist them. We ultimately left without purchasing anything because the interaction was so unpleasant. I am taking the time to write this because I genuinely believe this experience deserves to be addressed by management. Customers should not feel ignored, dismissed, or uncomfortable when simply asking an employee for assistance. I hope Petco takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer-service concerns with the employee and the overall experience in the fish department.

  Really disappointed with my experience at this Petco I've been here before and the service is usually frustrating because we often have to wait a long time for an employee to help us This time I waited a long time because I was excited to finally pick out a hamster When the employee finally came over the first thing she said was “Uhm, how old are you guys?” Her tone came across as very judgmental and rude I explained that I had an adult with me who was buying the hamster as a gift that I had a temporary cage, and that a much better permanent cage was already on the way I've owned a hamster before and have cared for multiple types of animals so I know the responsibility involved I felt like I was being treated as if I were just some irresponsible teenager simply because I'm 15? Judgmental much? I understand wanting to make sure animals are going to good homes but next time don't judge someone before knowing their experience or situation🫩 Being young doesn't automatically mean someone is incapable of caring for an animal Come here if you wanna be judged 😅
