  We’ve been loyal Petco grooming customers for years, but our experience with Hope has shown a pattern of unprofessional and rude behavior. When I raised concerns, store customer service was unwilling to help and told me that Hope controls the grooming salon. The concerns were based on real issues: one visit where nail trimming was missed (and later corrected), and two visits that resulted in small nicks and excessive paw trimming that irritated my dog for weeks and ultimately required a vet visit. After I left two constructive reviews—which Petco actively requests by email after grooming appointments—Hope prevented me from scheduling grooming services at any Petco location, not just her salon. When I finally reached her and expressed my frustration, I asked to speak with her manager and was told that he was already aware of the conversation and situation. Customers should be able to provide honest feedback without fear of retaliation.
