- LLLolaAug 1, 20261.0I am absolutely furious with the grooming salon at Petco in Bremerton. My dog has been professionally groomed many times, and we have never had a single issue like this. Before the appointment, we discussed exactly how I wanted Milo groomed. After I picked him up, another employee told me that once the stylist, Celyna, got Milo, she decided she couldn't do the haircut we had agreed on. Instead of calling me immediately before doing anything, she made that decision on her own. An hour after I dropped Milo off, I received a phone call saying they couldn't groom Milo at all. At no point during that call did anyone tell me they had already started cutting him. I had absolutely no reason to think anything had been done, so I expected to pick up the same dog I had dropped off. Instead, I walked in to find my dog completely botched. Half of his body had been shaved while the other half wasn't touched. The areas that were cut were much shorter than we had discussed, uneven, choppy, and looked like someone with no grooming experience had done it. It honestly looked like they started grooming him, gave up, and sent him home that way. What makes me even angrier is the complete lack of communication. If the stylist knew before she started that she couldn't perform the haircut we agreed on, why wasn't I called immediately? Why wasn't I given the choice to change the service to a bath and sanitary trim or simply pick him up and take him somewhere else? Instead, someone made that decision for me, altered my dog's appearance without my permission, and then failed to tell me they had already started cutting him. To make matters worse, their solution was for me to bring Milo back on Wednesday and pay a discounted rate to fix what they had done. Absolutely not. I should not have to pay a single penny to correct a mistake that never should have happened in the first place. This wasn't just a bad haircut—it was a complete failure in professionalism, communication, and customer service. I trusted Petco with my dog, and they returned him looking ridiculous without ever giving me the opportunity to approve any changes. I will never bring my dog back to this grooming salon, and I strongly recommend anyone considering grooming services here think twice before trusting them with your pet.
