- JYJulie Yoon3 days ago1.0This is the second grooming session we took our dog to at this Petco location. The first time, the groomer plucked our dogs ears, which resulted in a yeast infection. I looked it up and it said most groomers have moved away from this method since it can cause issues for dogs. When my husband dropped our dog off for the latest groomer, he reinforced what I put in the notes of not plucking our dogs ears. The same groomer was defensive and said he probably already had the yeast infection but her work last time made it known. I couldn’t disagree more. We’ve taken our dog to the vet for his checkups and he’s never had an issue. So my husband leaves our dog, he then gets notified about 60-90 minutes later that our dog is on the way to the emergency vet because there was an incident. The manager would not tell him what happened. I called and she wouldn’t tell me either. She said she couldn’t tell us the severity. I explained that I don’t need to know the severity, I just need to know if he got hit with the clippers, was it another dog, etc. she wouldn’t give me any information. Turns out the groomer nicked our dog twice with the clippers on opposite sides of his body. I don’t understand how that happened twice. And why didn’t she stop after the first time?? Needless to say, we will never be going back and will strongly advise others to not go as well.

He is a miniature poodle and while I was away for personal reasons, he was taken to another groomer. I would get pictures of him and most times I wanted to cry! Well, I’m back now, and I immediately made an appointment with Holly and as always, she did a wonderful job and he looks like my little boy again
