Made a new patient appointment after multiple people warning me not to. Received a call today to move up the time of my appointment. When I called back I spoke to the receptionist who never identified herself and unfriendly. When I asked who I was speaking with she said did give her name. I asked if I could speak with Mary, which is who left the message she told me she was on break already at 11am in the morning. The receptionist had no idea who I was because she never asked at the beginning of the conversation which is a critical piece of information needed when calling any medical office. To say she was rude is an understatement. Once she figured out who I was and calling for a new pet appointment she proceeded to tell me I have to come in earlier since those appointments take so much longer. Sorry for the inconvenience. I did end up calling back to cancel the appointment and I verified I was speaking with the same person since the front desk there doesn’t identify who they are. I proceeded to tell her I would never bring my new puppy to an office with the first impression of the office being rude and dismissive. No apology just excuses. Lack of professionalism and accountability. I can’t comment on the clinical staff but that has been one of the worst first impressions of an office I’ve had.

Staff uses vague language and outright misinformation in regard to visits, causing an issue to go untreated with my pet until surgery was needed. When confronted they hide behind their systems information not reflecting the information we were told in person, although when trying to get critical information for the emergency vet their system was down. Additionally even though you can sign up easy enough, to cancel the plan requires several intentionally inconvenient steps. In summary it’s great as long as your pet is healthy and you never actually need them to be useful.

I’m disappointed. I recently adopted a cat and informed the veterinarian that I had a free first-visit coupon. I understand that the coupon doesn’t cover additional expenses such as vaccines, illnesses, medications, or nail trims. However, we were still charged for the office visit. While the exam was free, according to both the coupon and the website, both the exam and the office visit should have been Update: banfield responded and stated the exam was free however looking again at the coupon it says both as I already mentioned. Misleading.

My cats receive excellent care from the entire staff at this location. I drive 25 minutes to this location because all employees here love their jobs. From the doctors, to the techs, to the front desk staff, everyone is kind and empathetic. I’ve never had an issue getting my cats in when they need care and the plans Banfield offers makes it affordable to care for my pets.
