  Our dogs have been boarded with the Colonial K9 crew 10+ times over the past year. I never have worried about their well-being and our dogs were with them during the icepocalypse we had in January! They treat our pups like family and their rates are unbeatable. The staff is friendly and animal-loving and are willing to help in any way that they can to make your pups feel at home. The kennel is very climate controlled and comfortable and they are super organized with each client’s items. Highly recommend!!

  I used them numerous times for boarding years ago with no problems. Now that I am back in the area, I have boarded there two times. Both times, I have had to throw away the dog bed I used during boarding. I don’t know if they aren’t letting the dogs out to potty or if they are spraying the kennels out without letting them dry. Either way, the dog beds have been soaked and reeking of urine.

  We had our two dogs groomed at Colonial K9 (note: we have not tried boarding yet - this review is only for grooming). Kathy, their groomer, was fantastic. She listened to everything we requested for our two girls and she did an amazing job. They came out smelling great and it was the perfect trim. The dogs were not anxious at all as they were groomed together in a quiet area. In terms of cost, they are right on par with the other local groomers in Stafford and you walk away with a quality cut. We couldn't pick our two up right away, so they got to spend some time in a kennel run and were perfectly content when we picked them up - they seemed very calm and relaxed - plus on a hot day it was perfectly air conditioned and well kept on the inside. We will be bringing them back for future grooming and if the need arises, I can see us boarding them there as well!
