I shop at this store specifically and it’s farther away than another store. I enjoy the employees they are all very friendly to interact with, they have a great selection of different products to choose from from pets to supplies for the pets. We actually found a cat we liked enough to adopt to bring home. 🐈 (Photos of her included) My wife was skeptical about shopping here about some thing she heard in the past about the health of the animals but I can happily say that is was not true and now we don’t shop at petsmart anymore because of it. I stand in line longer at petsmart every time I go there and they have four more checkout lines… I can also say they do offer training and grooming services for dogs but I can’t attest to anymore than that. TLDR:Great Employees, Good Selection, Healthy Animals, Services Available for pets

I love going to Petco near Rutgers. It does make me sad to see all the little animals in tanks. I wish the sweet little turtle with the beautiful shell would get adopted. He's been there for quite sometime. Also, Zeus the kitty for adoption up front has been waiting so long for his new home and love. He's allergic to dust mites and would need to be the only kitty but he's precious with his little tongue that hangs out a little. Anyways the staff is so freaking awesome, personable and helpful.... and Lord know I need help:)

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful experience at Petco when we adopted our sweet boy, Loki (formerly Chancey), on August 24th! We were referred to Petco by Angels of Assisi because we had been approved to adopt Chancey. We had received our adoption approval email a few days prior, but when we arrived, we were a little confused because we had been told we would receive a link to complete the payment and we never received it. I unfortunately don’t remember the name of the employee who helped us, but he was light-skinned with curly hair, and he was SO kind and helpful. He reached out to the appropriate people for us, and within less than 10 minutes, we had the payment link and were able to complete Loki’s adoption. We really appreciated how patient and willing he was to help us. There was also another employee who was very helpful in helping us choose a comfortable carrier for Loki. He was tall with long, dirty-blonde hair, and he was also incredibly kind and knowledgeable. We just wanted to take a moment to thank both of them for making what was already an exciting day even better. Loki was extremely shy when we first brought him home, but he has adjusted so well! He is now our little sweetheart who is absolutely obsessed with Churus and gets the zoomies late at night. 😂❤️ We’re currently working with him on exploring the rest of our apartment since he still spends most of his time in our bedroom, but we’re taking it slow and letting him adjust at his own pace. Baby steps! 🥹 Thank you to the Petco employees who helped us that day and made the adoption process so much easier. We’re so grateful that Loki is now part of our family! 🐾❤️
