- FNFarmand NazariJul 22, 20265.0I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Banfield Pet Hospital in Reston. Last weekend, our dog suddenly developed an anal gland abscess that ruptured while we were out on a walk. It was bleeding, and we were extremely worried. We first went to Banfield in Vienna, but unfortunately they were too busy to see him that day. We were given an appointment for the following day, but before that appointment they called to let us know they were short-staffed and recommended that we take him to another Banfield location or an emergency hospital instead. We called Banfield Reston, and from the very first phone call, Alexis S. was incredibly kind, compassionate, and reassuring. Even though they were busy, she took the time to find an appointment for us and encouraged us to come in as soon as possible. Her kindness immediately helped ease our stress. When we arrived, everyone was welcoming, and Dr. Robin Tucker was absolutely wonderful. She carefully examined our dog, quickly diagnosed the anal gland abscess, and took the time to explain exactly what had happened, what treatment he needed, how to care for him at home, and even what diet would help with his recovery. She was patient, compassionate, and made sure all of our questions were answered. Throughout the visit, Alexis S. continued to be incredibly supportive and caring. We were very anxious seeing our dog in pain, and both Dr. Robin Tucker and Alexis S. treated not only our dog with exceptional care but also treated us with genuine kindness and empathy. After our disappointing experience elsewhere, the team at Banfield Reston completely restored our confidence. Thanks to Dr. Robin Tucker and Alexis S., our dog received the care he needed, and I’m happy to say he’s doing so much better now. Thank you, Dr. Robin Tucker and Alexis S., for your professionalism, compassion, and outstanding care. We are truly grateful for everything you did for our family. We won’t forget your kindness.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
