  Terrible Petco location. Saw there was availability for a hair rake online to clean my carpet of cat hair, and decided to call the store to make sure they had it and it wasn’t an error (happens often with online services for every retailer) before I spent $50 on it. Call was picked up by some dude and he put me on hold for 10 minutes before the call dropped. Called again and they hung up after picking up. So I ordered the stupid thing online and went to the store since it’s 10 miles from me and the only one that had it. Said the order was “being prepared” and they’ll email me when it’s ready. Went into the store 30 minutes later and found it sitting out on the shelf for anyone to just walk off with. Rightfully I’m upset, because what happens if someone buys this because my purchase order was ignored? Take it to the register and the same guy (I recognized his voice, it’s very obvious) is checking it out. I ain’t the type to start a fuss in a store with someone who ain’t paid enough to care, but I told the guy I ordered it online and provided the e-receipt, but before it was even pulled up he says “I trust you, you’re good” and essentially hands the thing to me for free. You wouldn’t believe how stupid hard it is to find a pet store in Hampton Roads that actually sells what you need to clean this stuff out of fabric, which is why I’m annoyed as shit. I won’t give names because I don’t want anyone to lose their job over something so dumb but I wish this store didn’t make me jump through 5 different hoops and almost pawn my shit off to the next customer just to rake the cat hair off my damn carpet.

  NEVER AGAIN, dog got physical and prescription at this store, but anywhere I go to full the prescription nobody at this store can confirm the prescription?

  Showed up 30 min before closing. They weren't mad at all. Asked about a product and one employee did not hesitate to take me straight to it. Friendly and great customer service that actually knows their store and where things are. If you need it quick go here. I was in and out in under 3 min.

  I came to this Petco today because Petco had been advertising a free ice cream giveaway for about a month on their website and app. When I arrived, none of the employees seemed to know anything about the promotion. They even asked me if I was sure it wasn’t for PetSmart and wanted to know where I had seen it. After I explained that it was advertised on the Petco website and app, they called the manager, but the manager didn’t know about it either. What was most disappointing wasn’t just the lack of information—it was that no one apologized for the confusion or made any effort to help. If a promotion is being advertised by Petco, store staff and management should be aware of it or at least respond professionally when customers ask about it. This location would benefit from better communication and management.
