  My dog grooming experience at Petco was not good. I paid for them to give my doodle a poodle cut and instead they shaved her all the way down to something unrecognizable. When I asked if this is the normal poodle cut, I was told yes. I’ve included a picture.. They charged me $130. I’ve pretty much paid for them to make my dog look naked….Funny thing, they asked if I wanted to leave a tip before they brought her out. I said yes, and then regretted it. I’m hoping a manager reads this review and sees the work that his employees did. Will I ever bring her back to this Petco- not a chance. I could have done better than this.

  Hi! I had a bad experience. Last month, when I adopted my pet hamster, an employee cursed at me as soon as I entered the store, and he continued to mistreat me afterwards. I was kind to him, but he made me feel uncomfortable. Later on, My hamster was causing lots of problems, so I had to return it. I loved my hamster and it was a difficult choice to make. Later, when I went back to get a new pet, another employee refused to sell it, because “I had returned a hamster today” and he was very rude about it. I was so kind to them and they treat me like this. In my entire life, I have never been denied from buying something until today, because I am so kind to people in stores. This store is very far away from me and it is too much of a burden to return another day and risk getting denied from buying again. I do not understand why I would be denied. There is obviously no good reason for it. I was very loving to my hamster, and I returned him alive. It is not fair to deny me from getting another pet, just because I have anxiety and I am nervous. It is not right deny people because they have anxiety. I always take good care of pets. I am guessing that they were mad that I had asked for a refund, even though it was my first time ever asking for a refund at any Petco. This is also not a valid reason, but it is the reason that he was implying based on what he said. I regret that I was spending money at Petco in previous years. Please, try to do better next time. I have never seen another store that was so quick to get angry with me over nothing.

  absolutely abysmal grooming services. We dropped our dog off at 9 am, never heard back from them til we had to call at 3 pm. Then when we finally pick the dog up shes bleeding from her head supposedly from “hitting her head in the crate”. Even if that was true, it wouldn’t have happened had they not contacted us sooner to pick her up when she was ready. Instead they forgot to call us until we had to contact them.

  Do not bother with this place if you have any type of question about any animal. The people who work here are absolutely weird and incompetent. We basically checked ourselves out today while the guy talked to a pricing device that doesn’t have a radio in it.

  I really hate to make this post but I feel like I should. I went in today to pick up a glofish cory catfish. The young man who was waiting on me was very friendly and while he was getting my fish I was looking at the other fish. I saw a red flame gourami dead in a tank floating and the other fish were eating it. I informed a female employee that came over and she was annoyed and tried to say he was being treated...ummm you can't treat dead. She just turned off the tank light instead of removing it. Then I continued to look at the goldfish and I came across a tank that hand maybe 20 dead goldfish lying in the back of the tank and I bent down to look closer and I noticed at the top back corner of the tank I assume is the filter were maybe 10 to 20 goldfish dead and stuck to the filter. You know I understand fish die and if employees are busy and can't get to it right away but they had no customers at the time I was in there and I saw at least 6 employees which is unusual for that store. Someone could have taken the time to at least take out all the dead fish from the tanks, I mean they weren't exactly doing anything else. Most of the time they seem to be bored and hate being there. I get it but come on. You are there with no customers and so many dead fish Just polluting the tanks and the other fish. It just takes one employee to go through with a net. I know they are just fish but come on, Its still a living thing. I really dont want to be that person but its absolute incompetence. Do better Petco.
