    The final hours of my beloved furbabby’s life were the most traumatic experience I’ve gone through. Between being interrogated by the technician and then the Vet on euthanasia for an almost 16 yo dog who had no quality of life and no sedation for a poor baby screaming from not knowing what was going on I definitely would NOT recommend the Manassas Banfield.

    We’ve been going to this location for around 2 years. The staff is always kind and we have the wellness plan. But the drop off options over in room appts are pushed way too much. We tried it once 6 months ago and they kept him all day, we called asking for updates and they had none, I was concerned and said “is he just in a crate?” And they said “we let him out for bathroom and water”. I was like well duh I’d hope so. We wish they had clear parameters or limits to drop offs so we could feel better about it but it just felt cruel. Recently we scheduled on the app for a skin tag exam (we left a comment) and they canceled it right before and then rescheduled us for next day. We went in and they didn’t know why we were there and said vet techs can’t examine skin tags (totally get that) but the doctor was available and said we needed to specify next time…but we did…and we are not the expert on who the right examiner would be so we had to leave and reschedule again. The vet techs felt bad and were really kind but the front desk just shrugged and took no accountability which was frustrating even after I clarified. When they rang us up they were like oh okay so since it was just a physical there’s no charge for today…and I was shocked they even presented the possibility when they obviously made the appointment mistake and didn’t provide us any service. I like the doctors there and our local convenience but this was just disappointing.

    I love Banfield Manassas. The kindness of the staff, attentiveness of the doctor that patiently addressed our concerns, and the affordable comprehensive care provided was amazing. I look forward to the continued support for my Tootie and Bentley.

    We have been going to Banfield for my pets for decades. They are always friendly, professional and full of very good ideas on how to deal with the various things that can crop up with our fur babies! Thank you for taking such good care of them!

    Dr. Bensfield was so great and friendly! the only reason i’m not giving 5 stars is because the vet tech India was extremely passive aggressive, unwelcoming and made us feel like our cat was unhealthy and neglected. She also told us that our cat was overdue by 3 years for her rabies vaccine but our cat is 2 years old yes, she was overdue but we were unaware and the condescending tone was unneeded. However, the Vet let us know that our cat is “very healthy”! Once the Vet had left India avoided eye contact with us.
