We’ve being going to Banfield Short Pump for over a year, we have a wellness plan with them for our senior dog and we can’t be thankful enough on how they’ve handled every challenge our senior dog has had. Almost every time we need to take her, even late notice, they’re available, if not, they’ll give us options on how to care for our dog.

Great staff and my 2 hound dogs love them! Plus I love the convenience of knowing that no matter where I am, my fur babies's records and care plans are always near by.

GENUINELY THE WORST VET EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. They neglected my cat SEVERALLY and had no communication with me, and were very unprofessional. I dropped my cat off at 8am and was told Id receive her around 1pm but 5pm at the latest. 4:00pm rolls around and I call multiple times and nobody answers. I then show up and nobody is at the front desk and their is a long line. I get to the front officially and they tell me they have done nothing to my cat yet. (I dropped her off for a uti appointment made the day prior). One hour rolls by and they give me my cat covered in pee and tell me to wait for the results. One more hour rolls by 20 MINUTES PAST CLOSED. And they tell me nothing is wrong with her. I speak to the manager who tells me they were busy. I said if you knew you were busy and understaffed, why not reschedule my appointment or cancel it? She said she "had enough staff" and that it was only cause other pets took longer. I tell her I really don't think it is nothing and she offers me inflammatory pills (which have severe side effects if your cat doesn't have inflammation). She then tells me "sorry we failed you" and basically waits for me to pay and leave. No compensation, no accommodation, and when I asked for the corporate number they googled it and gave me the wrong number. Overall it was extremely overpriced, very unprofessional, and the want for quantity over quality was insane. I'm never going to them again and I hope you don't go either.

Do not use this location. After spending more than $500 on tests for my 17 yr old cat, I was given a supplement disguised as a prescription. Found online at Amazon for half the price. My cat could not handle the size of the pill so I called this short pump location 3 times with promises of a call back that never came. Made a 4th call and was left on hold for 30 minutes and finally hung up. They do not care about your pet, only your money. I am beyond disappointed and left to figure it out on my own.

I will start this post by saying my dog is not the easiest to see as a Veterinarian and is an anxious animal because of her upbringing, I understand that. But when I don't see you try to make a connection with my dog by being kind, providing treats, or other calming ways to make yourself less threatening I can't help but think you do not understand how to be around anxious animals, especially after I tell you all this! I have been with Vets before that are aware of anxious animals and how to behave around them, and they all are fine around my dog, today though the Veterinarian bent down around my dog over her head without any thought and after my dog lunged and nipped at her, she told me my dog is a danger to others and to myself. The tone and the language this Vet used was unprofessional and it made me question the professionalism of this Veterinarian. I just want to add two thing: One, I know what I have in my dog, I've had it for 7 almost 8 years now. I understand she is not the easiest to care for and I have been on high alert around strangers everytime I am in public with her, but I love her and will care for her till the day she leaves this earth. Two, understand your own actions and maybe take those into consideration before blaming my dog's actions because of what you did. A harmless action as a human might be aggressive towards a dog, as a Vet I expect you to understand that. I have mostly had great experiences with Banfield, but today I felt like the Vet did not have the best interest in mind for my animal, and treated her as just a number to process and get out the door.
