The Fort Belvoir Veterinary Center is responsible for providing comprehensive veterinary care for several hundred Government-Owned Animals and Military Working Dogs in the National Capital Region. We also provide veterinary services for pets of active duty, reserve, and retired military personnel as well as their dependents with qualifying identification. Although our Working Dog readiness mission comes first, we try our best to provide as much veterinary clinical care as possible to the community.
We offer a wide variety of veterinary services to include: vaccinations, laboratory testing, health certificates, and minor sick-calls. Outpatient anesthetic procedures are available on a space and personnel available basis only.
