Extremely disappointed with my experience at this Banfield location. I arrived with my dog for a confirmed appointment for a concerning skin condition and even showed the front desk representative, Cat, my appointment confirmation. Despite this, I was told they couldn’t find the appointment and that she would ask Dr. Alexander King if my dog could be “squeezed in.” I was then told he did not have availability to see him.
I took time off work specifically for this appointment and had proof that Banfield confirmed it. I was not a walk-in asking to be accommodated. Turning away a sick dog because of what appears to be an internal scheduling error was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better care and customer service from Banfield.

I’ve had positive experiences with Banfield over the years, especially with our other fur babies, so unfortunately this visit was disappointing.
Carlos was absolutely amazing, friendly, welcoming, and very understanding. He made an effort to listen and showed genuine empathy at the end of my visit, and I truly appreciated that.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about my interaction with Patrick. The encounter left me feeling uneasy and the visit felt very impersonal, as though the priority was simply to “get straight to the point.” I asked several questions, and while they were answered, the interaction didn’t feel warm, friendly, or welcoming.
I understand that everyone has different communication styles, but the overall experience was not what I’ve come to expect from Banfield based on my previous experiences. Ultimately, I decided to take my services elsewhere.
I do want to acknowledge Carlos for his kindness and empathy. He was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience.

Absolutely and consistently the worst service experience ever offered, at any level. Misdiagnoses, lost files, clueless staff - medical malpractice abounds.

I took my dog to the Falls Church Banfield on a whim because my dog had a severe ear infection and our regular location was booked up. When I brought her in to get checked in, we waited for at least 5 minutes before anyone even came out to the front desk. I was instructed to purchase a prescription on chewy, and bought it that same day (8/2). On 8/6, I still had not gotten veterinarian approval by Thursday (8/6). Between 8/6-8/10, I called a minimum of 6 time, twice a day at times. I spoke to countless employees, and was told the same thing each time, “I’ll take down your information and pass it along to the veterinarian”. I later learned that this location didn’t even know they had a practice manager. I sent 2 emails before I got a call from the practice manager (she manages from another location). She was extremely helpful and explained that the approving veterinarian was out of town all week. This was not relayed to me at any point during the countless calls I made. I would’ve ordered elsewhere had I known my dog would not be able to get her prescription for over a week.
This location is unprofessional, lacks basic communication and is extremely unorganized. I will never return to this location and will urge others to avoid it.

Absolutely the worst pet hospital I’ve ever been to. I was charged twice, and despite calling three separate times to get the billing issue resolved, I still couldn’t get anyone to help me. Every single time, I was left sitting on hold for 20+ minutes. If you value your time, money, and basic customer service, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place clearly does not care about its customers once they have your money. I would not recommend this pet hospital to anyone.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
