  I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Petco Grooming. I drove about 40 minutes from Woodbridge and spent over $80 on a bath and trim package that included nail trimming, teeth brushing, and a full bath. When I picked up my dog, the haircut looked good, but that was the only service that appeared to have been done properly. Her nails were still noticeably long, her breath still smelled as if her teeth had never been brushed, and her fur still smelled dirty. It honestly didn’t seem like she had received a proper bath. I called the store after I got home, and the groomer insisted that he had bathed her. Based on how she looked and smelled, I have a hard time believing she received a thorough bath. It felt more like she was simply sprayed down instead of being properly washed. For the amount of money I paid and the time I spent driving, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. This was a very disappointing experience, and I hope Petco improves its quality control so other customers don’t have the same experience.

  One star because this store has broken A/C for a long time (I went weekly). By reading the review below, it’s been going on for months!! It is inhumane for anyone to be working in that condition. It makes the shopping uncomfortable and unpleasant. As soon as I walked in, I wanted to get out of there quickly. You’ll notice a multiple fans w tubes coming from the ceiling throughput the store. I wouldn’t trust some of the pet food on the shelves stored at the warm temperature of the store for this long. They must get it fixed ASAP.

  I deleted my last review so I can update this and hopefully get the attention of those needed. This store and the staff are great. They are again suffering through the heat. I went in today and again the AC isn’t running well if at all and know they have been suffering for the last month. They do have more backup units this time but with this heatwave in the area, you really can only feel the cool air if you’re standing next to them. This is so sad, and the animals are still in the store! I feel the store should be closed when the temperature inside is like this. It’s not safe for the customers, staff or pets. Please contact your landlord or something. This is unacceptable for anyone. Original post from last year: I’m only rating this low to hopefully get the attention that’s needed. I feel for the past 2 months I’ve been in this store, they have not had proper AC for their staff. They have some plug in units toward the front and they’re barely working. I was just in yesterday and all of the animals (except fish) are taken out of the store, thankfully, but I feel so badly for their staff. The heat/humidity was so much stronger at the back of the store. This kind of environment in the middle of summer breaks my heart. Do better for your employees, please. I want to support a company that respects its staff as well as their merch (pets).
