My puppy ate something poisonous, he became completely unresponsive and after driving to multiple emergency vets that turned me away because they were packed. They were able to give me life saving advice. My puppy was on the verge of death. They instructed me to give him drops of Karo syrup, advise me of other vets that could help me and took payment plans. Because of their advice, my puppy woke up, walked around became responsive. He’s doing much better and hopefully he will make it through the night and continue to progress at the vet. It is looking very hopeful. I don’t know how I could ever repay them! This is the best place to go!

I unfortunately had to take my dog in for an emergency visit again last night. This isn't our first visit due to his age, but I greatly appreciate the care he was given. Laken was absolutely amazing! She was very thorough with questions about his current medication and past health issues. His back legs were giving him trouble and she was extremely gentle with him. I can't express how much that means to me! Dr. Mckeown was able to give me a diagnosis and detailed instructions for his treatment. I was able to take him home last night and that was a huge relief! Also, I'm not the easiest or friendliest person when I'm nervous or stressed, but the people working the counter last night were very polite and a pleasure to talk with. I really appreciate everything 🙏

Cannot say enough great things about this place! Brought our little Chihuahua, Mickey in around midnight on a Sunday night. We live in Roanoke County and had already spent almost 2 hours at the Emergency Vet there with an estimated 4 additional hour wait. After calling to be told there was no wait at T & C, we arrived and were taken right back. Dr. Garrett Bailey was great and treated our little guy for impaction. Knowing this was a short term fix and the underlying problem needed to be addressed, he recommended we return on Wednesday to consult with Dr. Nick Canevari for possible hernia revision surgery. We were surprised but very thankful that his surgery was able to be performed on the day of the consult. It was so hard leaving him there for surgery, (of course!) but we felt confident in choosing this particular Vet. So far we have been so pleased with his progress. We look forward to bringing Mickey here for years to come! Sometimes things happen for a reason and I truly believe that's why we ended up there instead of at the vet in Roanoke.

Staff were so very kind during an emergency with my furbaby, Ezi. I had used them months ago for a different emergency so I knew that I felt comfortable. It costs around $150 just to walk in during emergency hours. Still, for peace of mind-- it's worth it. The staff will ask you and tell you about costs up front so that you can decide whether to pay the cost or if you can. They do accept Care credit. You can apply online or talk to them about it. Faculty is super clean and very nice. I give them 3 stars only because of cost. I understand staff and doctors working all hours it's just difficult for many to pay the cost. I'm stressing over the fact that I had to charge it.

Dropped my dog off at 9am for a bath. By 7:30pm, still no call, despite being told at drop-off that they'd call when she was ready. I called in myself and she was confirmed ready within about 4 minutes, which makes me think she'd been sitting done for a while before I checked. This is the third time this has happened. When I mentioned it this time, staff acknowledged they don't always call and gave a list of reasons why. I understand things get busy, but "we'll call you" shouldn't be an empty promise, especially after three strikes. If you go here, don't count on getting that call. Call and check yourself, or you may not find out your pet is ready until you happen to ask. It also takes forever for them to retrieve my animal. One time it took over 20 minutes and they admitted they were “having trouble finding” my animal. I wrote this entire review while waiting for them to bring my dog to me. Do NOT offer to talk about this on a private line. There is nothing to discuss. This review is very clear. The only response I expect is one acknowledging the issue, and steps taken to correct it. None of these things require additional input from me.
