Where do I begin? Wanted to get my dog seen whom had been coughing on and off for about a month now. I booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance because of my work schedule, unfortunately not everyone has the luxury to take off work whenever they actually need too, anyways..
A lady left a voicemail, Lorna, telling me she rescheduled my baby’s appointment for 9:30am drop off. I originally made my appointment online for 4:30. She told me that doctors office closed that 5:00 pm so my baby would only be seen for 30 minutes.
I thought that was odd considering the available time slots, but I was happy she was still able to get my baby seen that day… the day Im able to call off work. More than willing to change the time slots. Keep in mind this is on voicemail she is telling me that she already changed his appointment time.
I call back, to let them know that I’ll be there to drop him off. She told me that I should take him to an ER instead and he wouldn’t make it all the way to his appointment, 3 weeks away. I told her honestly, I couldn’t afford that, I’m aware ER charge a lot more than banfield. I work 2 jobs at the moment and it’s simply just hard for me right now. I felt like she was trying to make me feel bad about my situation.
She said that my dog would need an xray and she told me it would be about $600! Then proceeds to tell me at the ER it would be cheaper because they keep the machine running all day. Which frankly I don’t believe, I’ve taken my dog to the ER before and they charge more because everything is considered an “emergency”.
Anyways after personally telling her my situation, she “seemed” super concerned about my dogs health, she made it seem like if I didn’t take him to the ER that same day he would die or something. I told her I’d probably take him to the ER but I wasn’t sure, at all. Because he’s not in critical condition, and also I’m simply not able to afford ER visits, hence why I booked the appointment at banfield.
I assumed after our conversation my appointment would still be there. She didn’t say she was canceling it and I didn’t tell her to cancel it either. I wake up to an email of my appointment canceled…
I noticed other lady had similar issues with scheduling so I wanted to make this post because she’s definitely not the only one having issues with them.

The scheduling process has been plagued by numerous delays, with my dog being placed on the waitlist. And for months it’s always we scheduled you on a date we don’t have a doctor( can’t make that make sense).Despite my dog’s requirement to take medication before his appointment, I didn’t received a call informing me that I would be instructed to pick up his medication that day and bring him in the morning. This prompted me to inform them that no one had provided me with his medication, to be able to bring him in. I had my 1st appointment same thing we scheduled you on a date theirs no doctor.these appointments takes months smh. They wait till the week of the appointment to call and reschedule your dental. 4 times is unacceptable. You don’t have to like me but I’m always respectful in person and on the phone. It is concerning that you do not have a dentist to perform dental work and are waiting for an appointment to be told last minute there is no doctor. And blame everything on everything else regardless of how many years you have worked for the company. It is unacceptable that they chose to call a week before the appointment to reschedule you for another two months, four times in total. The individuals at the front desk appear to be pleasant, but the situation has become out of control. It seems that the responsibility is always placed on someone else, such as the corporate or the system 🙄👀🎬. I understand that things can happen, but as someone who has been a customer at this company for over eight years. Had Bandfeild with my 1st childhood dog til adulthood, I expect better service. Instead of becoming upset and confrontational with a person who is not providing the energy I deserve, I have every right to ask questions and express my concerns about the scheduling process. Why schedule me multiple times for my dog’s dental appointment when there is no dentist available? This is why I am waiting months to get my dog seen by a dentist to have his teeth cleaned. It is always an excuse. I do not yell or argue; it is not worth my energy. What was once a pleasant and relaxed experience has turned into a headache. I have been coming to this location for four years now. The first three years were smooth and satisfactory. However, they have a sign on the board about respecting them, but they are rude and unpleasant, making you feel like a bad pet parent. Take your dog somewhere else. I have repeatedly asked for help with my dog’s itchiness, and I have taken him to another place where they listened and promptly fixed the issue. Not talk loudly in the back where you can hear them talking trash in the room lol smh🎬🙄. This was not a matter of months of me asking and trying to fix it myself. I have nooo beef!! Just be and do better! Our pets deserves better!!! 🥹🎬🥹🕵🏻♀️🤦🏽♀️
